I challenge any of you millennial fans to go back 40 no 50 years and show me how the game has got better since all the rule changes. The liberal money mongers arguments were, this will speed the game up, games will get over in two hours or less, higher scoring, better quality of basketball. Show how any of this is true today. games today take just as long or longer. Jump ball have been replaced by meaningless tv timeouts that only benefit the hype and the pipes in the office. This was not done for the athletes, all it has done is made a slew of clowning cry babies. wile you are at it check to see how the scoring has increased over the last 40 years and also see how many more turn overs are averaged per game. Check it all, but don't spend to much time researching it you might actually learn something about the game. And for all of you crying for Archie to get Oh romeo oh romeo I say no just get the player that does all the right things. I have watched him play twice and was not impressed either time. -

I hate the shot clock, alternating possession, and all of these tv timeouts. the game is pretty much ruined to much like NBA which is just horrible basketball or street ball. -

The NCAA is about to ruin the college game anyway with all of the NBA like rule changes. Who wants to watch street ball all the time very boring run up and down the floor and people go crazy over the easiest shot in the game. please bring real basketball back where a good coach can win games with good coaching. -

Why do people keep saying the Priller and Gelon need to go? Under good leadership he can develop and the kind of role that Priller fills is invaluable to a team, but not many of you would know anything about that. When Crean finally let the thriller on the floor he was the most aggressive player we had all night. I would say that Bryant and Johnson need to go and develop the correct attitude and then return. -

IU used to have no fans of HYPE now we have a majority of hype fans. We used to scold the media for the dumb questions and the idiotic statements, now we buy in and we hang on to every letter of bull crap put on the net and in print. Why? You really think the morons writing this stuff knows more about the game then a person paid to be in charge? Come on man wake up! Miller has not coached a game at IU and you all are hailing him as the next coming. I will not buy into one word he says until he is proven worthy. Until he proves he can win with less, until he proves he can demand smart selfless basketball, until he proves that pine time is the best motivator, until he proves he can win the wright way the IU way and not the scum bag way the media buys into at places like Kentucky, Kansas and North Carolina. The good people in the media are supposed to be there to protect the game for the fans, not teach the game to the guys being paid on the sidelines. Find the scum and bring them into the light. What happened to telling the story instead of every story becoming an opinion piece? We all know that the media looks the other way for big programs in all the major collegiate sports. The scum and corruption is everywhere in sports, but if it is pointed out it does not fit the narrative being spewed by the elite, I want you to win coach, but above all I want you to do it the IU way, but to do that you have to be able to win with less, especially today with all the scum corrupting the game. -
A spin on our returning roster/recruits

I really wish that most of the Crean players would be gone and with them the I am entitled attitude. If you look at the culture of the program over the last 5 years is it really what you want at IU. With Miller in charge sure things will look different, but with Creans recruits season could get ugly. Seems as IU fans we want a coach to make players accountable and put me in that camp. So if coach pulls a couple of these cry babies out of the game for lack of effort against a low rung opponent such as Stony Brook U and OMG they get embarrassed, will the pc police show up and defend the player? Or will the fans stand and cheer for a coach finally after 17 years willing to do the right thing? I also see a scenario that could turn out really well, but with the culture that has been established at IU over the past years getting rid of at least 40 percent of the current roster would have been best for all. -

We finished as one of the worst defensive teams in the country. Was it because of Creans style? was it because the kids didn't give a flip? was it because they didn't have confidence in each other as a team defensively? I think it is the later. I don't think these kids want to lose and I don't think they are lazy. What I witnessed this season was kids trying to play together as a unit then it would break down at some point and if you payed attention it was usually JBJ getting beat off the dribble causing the unit to break down. I think James wants to play D, but the kid is really not that quick laterally and you have to be or just have great instincts to be able to beat someone to the spot. James has neither and the players knew it and no matter how hard they all worked they knew it was ultimately going to break down and that is defeating to a team and that is how it looked. I have nothing against JBJ, but he is a coaches double edged sword. a great shooter and decent strait line speed can get to the rim, but is a real liability on defense. I think JBJ is a 20 minute performer at best and is that guy that can give a scorers punch off the bench. I think his knees are the issue with his lateral speed, but that is a real issue for Arch to decide if he stays. -
i personally hope any that wants to leave go ahead and leave only four or five in that roster that are worth keeping, to many bad memories associated let them go and build back. We need to be rid of Crean in every way.

Everyone is so concerned with Miller being able to recruit the elite players. That is not what its about here at Indiana it is about recruiting the right players that fit Indiana. Miller first has to create a culture and then recruit the right players that fit that culture for the program to take flight and the fans to back it. I think it is really very simple at Indiana to gain the fans support. All you have to do is build your program around one simple word (DEFENSE) and don't ever shy away from it and never take it any BS from anyone, that is the HOOSIER way and we embrace it to the fullest. On recruiting we want the 4 year guy the 3 star guy who will blossom in the system. We don't need to be Kentucky to win a title that has already been proven here. For every "elite" player you need to have 3 other players that are the heart and sole of the program. Once upon a time we had a coach that understood that and has now been missing for 20 years and in a nut shell that is the problem Indiana has to resolve. Will Coach Miller take that approach? Will he get the best in state talent? How many players from Indiana did he have on his Dayton roster in the last six years? I want IU to be great again and I want Coach Archie Miller to be the guy that gets it done, but if he falls into that trap the national media wants him to be in. I will be his loudest critic. Do it the IU way the only way. GO HOOSIERS!

First I want to say Congrats to Coach Miller. I am sure as a young coach you and your family could not be more excited then you are right at this moment. As a long time fan I wish you the best. Now lets get to good old Fred. Did he lie? well just a little. What is Millers connection to Indiana high school coaches? did Glass reach out to them as he said he would? Sure would be nice if he had about 10 to 15 high school coaches are at the presser that he reached out too. The proven winner and deep runs at an elite level, not seeing that one here. Does he have any in state connections? I have seen this posted already and I agree the program is not the destination or the elite job we want it to be. Now it could be, but we still have the wrong leadership in charge. The powers to be made a choice long ago to destroy the program to make it a more worldly accepted place for the elites to gather and feel good about doing what is good to the eye. So until Coach Miller wins not one, but two national titles IU will not be elite again. You have to have high level success on a permanent basis to be considered elite and right now we are just a has been. I wish Coach all the luck in the world and I hope he brings the program back before I kick the bucket.

You all may as well quit wishing for Billy D he is not coming, if he was it would have already been announced by now. His players are not going to leave on him, they don't even care if they have a coach. The next coach of Indiana University is still coaching the NCAA mens sweet 16 and after listening to Dan Patrick show I am more convinced then ever it is Alford. Said Buckner and another board member was in favor of hiring Woodson, but the rest wanted Alford. I also heard he reason Glass hired the search firm was to fully investigate the Pierce incident while at Iowa. Steve Alford the next coach at IU. We should have a couple cases of his favorite hairspray waiting on him. :)

On the Dan Patrick show today he said that Buckner and another board member were in favor of hiring Woodson, but also that other board members wanted Alford Dan D and D Gotlieb who just got a coaching gig said Alford is a done deal. It makes sense seeing how we have not hired are coach yet? I really think Steve Alford will be the next coach at IU. I also heard the reason Glass hired the search firm was to fully investigate the Pierce case while at Iowa? we shall see.

Alford will be the next coach so prepare your self.

If I were to make up the list there would only be four names on it. Brad Stevens Billy Donovan Bennett Alford

For me holding up the signs from the bench was the dagger. you go back over the last 9 years and look at the turmoil that occurred and the signs were every where. so for me it will be: SIGNS
