TBF even the best coaches miss out on players. The overall roster building strategy of going after a 29% 3 point shooter when we have galloway who can't shoot is infuriating.

Personally i never let a single elimination tourney sway my opinion one way or the other. They’re just too random. You don’t hire dusty just because he went to a final four last year just like you shouldn’t let today’s result dissuade you from hiring him if he is the guy. I personally had questions all year because they returned everyone and didn’t get better and their defense was really bad but i was still willing to give him a chance because anything’s better than Mike. Looks like we won’t get that chance though.

Everyone hope Shrews makes Notre dame really good next year or Schertz goes to SLU and turns them around year one since we get Mike for another year. If either of those happen I’d feel pretty confident they’d be good here since Shrews has already won in the big ten and that would make 3 programs Schertz has turned around. Unless Dusty just absolutely loves us more than anything I doubt he leaves Louisville if gets them rolling

Only the biggest of optimists can think woody is some genius that is about to change college basketball recruiting when he doesn’t even value the most important shot in basketball and believes playing two bigs is the way to go. If he does i will be the first one to eat crow but i just don’t see it

I don’t know if Dusty succeeds here or not but I do know he’d put his all into it because this is actually his dream job unlike Mike who just likes the title. Wouldn’t have to worry about dusty not out recruiting or not knowing people’s names. He plays modern offense and I think he’s a smart enough guy to adapt if something isn’t working. Can’t say either of those about woody

Are we back to blaming fans again? This is honestly the most annoying discourse to me. The fans are the one good thing this program still has left. If the fan support and passion matched the results on the court, then there wouldn't be many. It is a large passionate fan base so of course there are some psychos but for the most part I think people are just dying for some wins. Any smart coach and player would see that the fan base could be their biggest asset and if you provide them with the consistent success they have been starving for the last 25 years you will be treated like a god.

0-31 on recruits in 2024. That’s kind of crazy to think about. I think I could get a commit if you gave me a couple of months and the most I’ve done is GM a 2k team.
