How can we be this bad at both offense and defense

Couldn't even get excited we got up 15 because I knew we'd somehow lose that lead.

I guess I'm just basing a lot of it off these last two years. He had a top 5 team last year and had as good a shot as any to win a title these last two years. Plus he has a top 10 recruiting class coming in next year. I'd be pretty confident in the talent he'd bring in here. I think Drew has a chance at some long term success at Baylor and would do the same things here. -

I don't know if he'd be considered but I think Scott Drew would be a really good hire if Archie is fired. Still young at 50 and has some Indiana ties with his Dad and going to Butler. Baylor has been amazing these last two years and I think he'd be able to get us back in the National title contention. He's making under 3 million this year so it would be easier to give him a raise versus someone like Chris Beard. He's been a good recruiter at Baylor and has also shown the ability to develop transfers. Plus his team leads the country in 3 point shooting percentage along with being the best defensive team in the nation. I miss watching a great shooting team. -

Alabama also has a top 15 adjusted offense and defense on kenpom this year which are both championship level caliber. I remember one of the biggest things with Archie was that he had never proven to be able to coach a championship level offense at Dayton. -

I think the more I read about Nate Oats the more I want him as the next coach. Watching his teams play is fun and exciting and I think that's something that has been missing with Archie. I think his system is one that would lend itself to recruits wanting to play for him as well. Watching Alabama, they play with a freedom and confidence that also seems to be lacking with our current team. He holds his players accountable which is another thing I know we've been clamoring for Archie to do. He benched two of their best players when they were 5-3 and they have been undefeated since. Plus I think he has the personality to deal with all the pressure that comes with the job. I doubt it would take 4 years for him to turn things around since he's turned around Alabama in two years.
