I think it depends on who we get instead. If we got an Oats, Drew, or Beard then I would be sad it's not Brad but still ecstatic about the future. Now if we got like Enfield I'd be pretty devastated.

I saw Jayson Tatum say he understands how it would be pretty cool for Brad to come back here. Listen to your star player Brad and come home.

His offense is pretty hard to watch. Listening to what Dolson talked about what he wanted in the next coach's play style sounded like someone with Oats' system. Beard is a great coach but his teams really muck it up and are a lot better on the defensive end than the offensive end.

Could be Mack on Friday if any of those rumors were true. Hopefully it’s not announced Friday though.

Oats wins a sec regular and conference title in his second year. Glad to see it doesn't take everyone four years to be good.

I think they're pretty even but I'd go Oats. He's only 46 which gives him the edge for me. His team was better this year and I like his system and personality a little more than Musselmans. I was watching the Arkansas game yesterday and they were talking about some of Musselman's motivational tactics and some of them seemed pretty cheesy and would be laughed at if they were losing.

If Dolson thinks he's the answer for the next 25 years, then Oats' buyout shouldn't stop him. The basketball program being good again will make a whole lot more than that 30 million.

If I'm a recruit and watch them play, that's the system I want to be in. Oats is going to be great for the next 25 years.

I love everything about Oats. I know some think he hasn't proven enough. Not only do they play modern basketball on offense, they have the number one defense on Kenpom. He's extremely fiery on the sidelines and his personality would shine here. If we can't get Brad, I'd be ecstatic to get Oats. I think I've watched 75% of Bama's games this year just because they're so fun to watch. Sometimes you just get a feeling with coaches and I get that with him.

Bama getting off to a quick 8-0 start vs LSU. When they're hot from 3, they're one of the most fun teams to watch in the country.

I do also like to hear that we may have possibly checked in on Oats. I think he’ll be a star and that would be mean his buyout wouldn’t stop Dolson from getting the best possible candidate whoever he may think that is.

It seems like coaching searches are the best time to be a Hoosiers fan these days. I can feel myself slowly getting excited again over the longest of long shots. One day we will have real basketball to be excited over.

If we're going to fire Archie I hope it's earlier even if the next coach isn't announced for a while. Let Archie and the rest of the coaches try and find new jobs. We'd be doing a disservice to them by keeping them longer.

Hopefully his list just includes peoples' whose name rhymes with Rad.

Could this have been why Lander didn’t play today? I don’t remember hearing anything about an injury for him so I found it odd he didn’t get any minutes.

Hopefully the next coach can manage to go better than 2-22 against Purdue, OSU, UM, and Wisky and not lose 6 of 7 to powerhouses like Rutgers. I know it's a tall task

I don't care really at this point. Let the new coach get his own players in. He can try and convince Lander to stay if he wants him. I'd worry Lander would transfer if Archie stays. I wouldn't want to play in this offense

I'd feel even worse for Archie sending him back out there in front of our fans next year. It'll be a bloodbath and I like him way too much as a person to want him to go through that.

Would there be a more fitting end to the Archie Miller era than a 10 minute scoring drought to end his tenure?
