Competition makes people better. I'm sure people will be unhappy but as long as everyone has the same shot at playing time I'm not too worried about it. Hopefully this just forces everyone to work harder to get playing time.

I think this guy is exactly what we need personality wise. I've seen a lot of Pitt fans say he's a bull dog that plays with a lot of fire and is always going 100% on the floor. I always felt like we were missing that fiery guy these last few years. I don't think there are ever going to questions about effort with him.

I hope Armaan stays. I don’t think any of us would be shocked if he took that next step to a 16-17 pt scorer. Baylor showed last night you need multiple really good guards to be successful. I’m still a little weary that relying on Rob and Lander will lead to success so I hope Armaan stays and we can get Xavier Johnson.

He’d just be going to the same offense at Louisville he just left here under Archie. I wouldn’t really get that move.

I don't really agree. Race or Trayce were on the blocks almost the entire time.We even had Jerome posting up way too much which made no sense to me. Hopefully we can be more free flowing next year. Rob was looking over to Archie every other possession to call a play.

Eh we were running two big men most of the year. Race was a non factor on the perimeter. I cannot wait until we have proper spacing.

I can't help but laugh how Jeff Goodman said Thad would have no interest in the IU job when he's a giant Hoosiers fan. Of course the guy would love to be a coach at one of his favorite teams. I'm really happy that he's a part of the program

If nothing else, I'd feel very safe as a parent sending my kid to play for Mike.

It's interesting hearing him thank Wes. Kentucky was getting every top recruit when he was helping Calipari. Wouldn't mind having that asset on our side.

As long he can motivate a team and sell recruits on Indiana, I could care less how exciting the press conference is.

I see a lot of Indiana names in this thread. I'm sure Woodson has a lot of contacts in the NBA. I'd love if he could poach an assistant from another NBA team to help with player development. I hope the other two assistants are young, elite recruiters. Everyone talks about Phil Martelli but Juwan Howard was also able to keep Saadi Washington on the staff, who's one of the best recruiters in the country. Surrounding Woodson with the best staff in the country will be one of the keys to success.

Jeff Goodman would have an aneurysm if this happens.

So I thought about this but Depaul is trying to hire Kenny Payne away from the Knicks so it'd be kind of weird if they were able to do that before the season is done but we couldn't.

If this goes on much past the tournament, then people will start to get suspicious and the questions and rumors will ramp back up. Next weekend always felt like the best date to announce this in my opinion but I also don't know a single thing.

The offense is very reliant on guards creating things but Drew's last 3 years of offensive efficiency ratings have been 3, 17, and 20. The offense isn't something I'd worry about with him because he's proven he can consistently field an elite one. They also shoot over 40% from three on the year. I don't know if Archie even had one guy that high. The defense has taken a huge step up these last two years though which is why I really like him now.

Aren't most college basketball coaches salesmen. I think this is a pretty lazy comparison.

I'm going to hold out hope that no one knows anything so if there is chatter about Moser it won't be him. Would really be disappointed if Moser was who we end up with after all this.

We'd be lucky to get Scott Drew. I get not wanting him because the rumors of his shadiness but it's kind of amazing to me people wouldn't want someone whose team has been ranked in the top 5 for basically two years straight. Especially at a school who has no basketball history before he came.

I’m hoping when players are able to get paid the playing field evens a little because we definitely won’t try and even it ourselves. If we must be squeaky clean then hopefully we can figure out some other way to gain an advantage once that is passed.

Hopefully that’s true. He has a good thing going.
