I agree although I don't exactly know what to expect as far as how that's being approached during peak season when you really want him focusing on finishing this season strong heading into March. I would assume most of the time when a school wants to extend a head coach or rework a contract they'll just wait until the end of the season to dig into the details. Obviously it's Dusty's agent doing most of the talking and listening at this point but it would be really interesting to know whether or not Dusty has told them he'd rather wait until the season's over to work on it. If he wants to hold off to the end of the season I'd say that means he's taking a really hard look at Indiana or possibly even already made up his mind. -

If Jr wants the job he'll eventually have to drive a stake through his vampire father's heart to get it. -

If anything I like knowing how afraid they are of Indiana right now. -

Hey Ant, since you're here... McNeese is about to fend off *checks notes*... the SE Louisiana Lions to move to 15-1 in the Southland. It's time to make that coach a strong a** offer. -

Minnesota doesn't care about basketball. They just don't. Resources have a lot to do with it, and I'll agree it's a coach's job to maximize whatever it is they may be working with, but a green coach is only capable so much at that type of program. In my opinion he jumped into the fire too soon after 1 good season at FIU where ironically he had to 180 the Isaiah Thomas debacle. His first season in the B1G he was 31 years old with 1 year head coaching experience. Those inconsistent years could very well be growing pains. He's 83-45 at NM including a 13-19 first season. Am I saying he's at the top of the list? Nah. Is he a guy who could come to a resourceful program like Indiana and eventually be a top tier coach? Sure. He's seemed to really benefit from the portal since it's inception so I think the landscape only favors him. This is not a campaign to go take a chance on RPJ because it's not something we're in position to do, however I do think it will be interesting to follow his career. -

He is a dark horse in my opinion, and moving up my list of preferences. One of those guys that needs the right program... -

No kidding. I think a Tom Crean 2.0 update could hold it's own against some of these candidates, taking into account learning from one's own mistakes. -

Himself because he shouldn't have anyone in his way any longer. It seems like you have it out for Dolson (not sure why) but its fairly well known he was shooting hoops with handcuffs on last time around. There are only a handful of boneheads out there who really believed Woodson was a legitimate hire and one of them so happened to be sitting at the head of the table. -

Agreed. If there was truth to IU + donors being willing to pay BS 10mil/yr, what are they willing to pay DM? -

Idk if Ashworth has any eligibility after this season but if so, bring him along. I would imagine the rest Big East would be glad to be rid of him as an opponent. Aaron Craft-like in my mind except a better shooter and not quite the defensive annoyance, but both were heady and never ones to quit competing. -

And this season getting Creighton where they are without having Pop Isaacs most of the year. He was averaging 16+ before he went down. -

He was next to never for a long time and the Mike Woodson experience put the last nail in the coffin of the former IU player experiment. I think he's a Western America lifer now from a coaching standpoint. -
