This i agree with, and is also why I still have faith in the hire. Dolson knew the hire was his name on the line this time, and I think he's a smart guy. That, and we know the body of work for CDD thus far is good. The only thing missing is popularity so it requires a climb, and fortunately it seems (to me, anyway) like we have a coach who isn't afraid of it. As a Cub fan I know exactly what you mean, and they still got it done albeit with a hell of a wait. But man was it sweet. Hopefully the Indiana drought remains a much smaller version of that. It can be done, it just won't be meteoric.

C'mon. He has little to nothing to close with. He's an unknown to a lot of these kids. No national exposure yet. And all they know of Indiana is the recent crap storm it's been. So no, he's not closing on a lot of guys right now. He does in fact have his work cut out for him and I think it's time to align the expectation to match.

I'm not sure why anyone held out hope Wilkerson would commit on his first visit of what is basically a short tour of having dollars thrown at him. Indiana's return to success isn't going to be fast like everyone wants it to be. It just isn't. Gradual improvement is the reality.

I feel like we're just going to need a dedicated Dusty May worship thread. He'll do incredibly well for however long he's there, and some of us will lament it daily in its entirety. While we should have snagged him, prideful idiots inhibited that. Now he's just another competitor.
