Anyone else notice that when Romeo dribbles back to the corner and tosses to the wing, he’s been left alone at least 3 times and the wing player totally misses getting the ball back to him?

Actually 3 of his 4 fouls were horrible decisions on his part. I love JM but his biggest weakness is decision making with bad fouls, especially when he already is in foul trouble.

Great W, figured we were toast in OT, in spite of mistakes they gutted it out. Had I bet on this game, I would have lost everything I owned.

Born in 75, swayed by my childhood best friend to be a Purdue fan until 89 (so I technically didn’t appreciate 87), saw the light after that, mainly because I idolized Bailey. Broken hearted in 93, absolutely the one that got away in my lifetime. That team was so good and so deep. Haven’t enjoyed very many seasons since. At least as a lifelong Reds fan they won the WS in 90, and the Colts in 06. Other than that, my wife thinks I’ve wasted a lot of years yelling at the TV.....

This. When Rob is leading the break he gives up the ball way too early and isn’t putting his teammates into position to score. He’s not alone but I’ve been noticing this more often. Last night in transition, he twice threw it to Juwan barely past half court when Juwan really wasn’t open or have a lane to make something happen. It was just like he had to get it out of his hands. A PG needs to realize what his teammates capable of and where. What’s Juwan going to do with it from there? Nothing. It’s like this team needs to run the 3 on 2, 2 on 1 drill we all ran in grade school through high school.

I was happy we got him and I want to believe in Archie, Tonight was proof we don’t have anyone on the bench to save us. That said, there are things that definitely concern me. Mostly how horrendous our offensive scheme is, the long stretches of no points, and numerous bad starts. However, out of the players we’ve seen play, give me Al and Rob (who both should be backup guards at this point) and the rest can move on, including Romeo. I want so badly to like him and he be the savior but his lack of hustle is aggravating and I wonder if it’s been contagious. This team has a low basketball IQ (hence why Archie only trusts an obviously injured McBob) and their effort isn’t much higher than their IQ.

Incredible game - Ft Wayne starts out hitting their first 7 3’s and I’m quickly down 10 -12 points all of the first half. Their outside shooting never decreases but inside the three point line our defense is stellar and we claw back into it. They end the game 16-22 from deep but just 15-51 for 29% on 2 point shots allowing my team to take the lead late in the 2nd half and pull out a victory. And in typical DTL fashion my 2nd ranked team doesn’t jump Ft Wayne in the rankings.

Big opening season game tonight in L34 between the #1 Ft Wayne Freaks vs my #2 ranked Orlando Racers. Should be a good battle!

That would mean McBob comes off the bench, which is all he should provide. Spot minutes or if there is foul trouble. Our best lineup last night not coincidentally was when Al was with the other 4 starters. Our starters need to play 35 minutes because unfortunately there is a significant drop from the bench at this time.
