After rewatching highlights it’s quite possible that my review of Damezi would be different had his 4th quarter been his 1st quarter shooting wise. There’s no doubt the two 3s he hit in the 4Q were clutch with not much space. I just felt his early shots were forced a bit and didn’t need to be. If he has proper spacing and room to shoot, I could see him being deadly from deep. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

My 2 cents..... First what an incredible day of games! My son and I, got there just before tip of the Culver/LN game and after that game we already felt we got our money’s worth. I’m no college scout but here’s my version of what I saw, in order of who impressed me most to least. Disclaimer - first and only time I’ve seen any of them play in person. Romeo- lived up to all the hype and more. Not nearly as selfish as I expected, takes his shots, very few seem forced, but distributed quite a bit to create for others too. TJD - virtually unstoppable going to his left. Pretty much got what he wanted when he wanted all day against someone 5 inches bigger. Uses his body to create space and finishes well with contact. Had a couple pretty spim moves in the paint. Most impressed with his defense/shot blocking. His timing to not get fouls or goal tends is very good. To me he’s #1 on the 2019 wish list and it’s not close. Trey Galloway - obviously a coach’s kid, and gets it. Sweet stroke with range. On the floor multiple times after loose balls. Barely missed a one handed oop that would have been “Dipoesque” showing off some hops. For not knowing much about him going in, he made me very aware going forward. Only a sophomore. Rob - was a little concerned with how selfish he appeared in first quarter with his shots but then realized he had very little help on his team. Distributed more throughout the game. Was pleased how easily he could get to the rim. Will be a beast of a big ten point guard imo as a jr/Sr. Defense is a concern in my mind, because his team plays a zone. He may be a great man to man defender but didn’t get a chance to see anything because of the zone. Jerome - I see the potential with the ability to have a 6’7 guard and he’s very lengthy but there was nothing in the game (on either side of the ball) to make me think he has any sort of major impact as a freshman. The 3rd and 5th foul were ridiculous calls by a ref wanting to put his mark on the game, with the same ref calling both technicals which resulted in his 4th foul and ejection. He wasn’t visibly heated and there was no bad body language or theatrics and reports of him refusing to leave or being escorted out are just badly worded. Of course an assistant coach went with him to the locker room- so there’s your escort out. I’ve never seen an ejected player walk out by himself. It’s not as if game officials or police had to restrain him and walk him out. From the time the second technical was called, it wasn’t 20 seconds that he was still in the building and 15 of it was walking to the exit. I’m sure he said “something” maybe indirectly at the ref which he shouldn’t have done, but I have no concerns of a hot head or head case as some of the twitter reports made it sound. Anderson - hit 2 clutch 3s at the end of regulation to help take the game to ot and some free throws but wasn’t impressive before that. Missed some forced shots and didn’t show me anything on the defensive side to make me think he’ll be much help there- hope I’m wrong. He was in foul trouble and sat the whole 2nd quarter. Would like to see him again in hopes I change my mind. Brooks - Romeo virtually shut him down in the paint. Got most of his points in garbage time in the 4th taking the ball to the hoop. Looked great in warm ups hitting from 3 easily with a nice looking shot. Based solely on last night’s performance, I came away thinking he’s very overhyped. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Plenty of seats, not 1/3 full yet in my estimation. Missed the first game. I like Trey Galloway’s game a lot from Culver. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Yes, thank you! Might need a break at some point for the IU game or non concession food. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

My biggest take away, guards contributed to only 3 of the 8 turnovers.....Davis had 2, Freddie 3. Huge improvement! There were a couple bad shots by guards though....cough cough Devonte and Curtis. -

Which is funny and all, and would be a small consolation for today if we didn’t just get waxed at home by Indiana State. -

I’m not saying they cut off cold turkey. I’m saying when Darius wouldn’t commit, perhaps CAM read between the lines....he does have a PG in the class already afterall...just a theory. -

Remember, Archie visited a few days after HH when he allegedly almost committed. My total guess is Archie asked for a commitment, Darius struggled and almost did When he didn’t, IU moved on, didn’t visit again, and that may be viewed as a slap in the face by DG, so now UCLA is publicly 2nd. Moving on..... -

Agreed but to be fair, it was CuJo (apparently in the dog house based on tweets from media sitting close to IU bench), Green (injured and frustrated with his 2nd half), and Morgan (injured) in that shot I thought. -

I tend to agree with you....what we know as facts (HH, Winston’s quote, Mom’s tears, add in the 2 Rabby visits) would seem to mean IU, hopefully we are right. I also don’t think it hurts IU if the announcement isn’t at his game. -

So 24 hours later, and a roller coaster day of back and forth and nothing has really changed. No crystal ball picks changed, no set announcements yet. Everyone has their opinions and most think it’s too close to call. We’re just another day closer. We’ll know in the next week.....
