If Glass wasn't going to push him out the door for his pre-conference performance, he certainly isn't going to do so with the lame ass B1G schedule IU, or CTC, lucked out on this year. I cannot fathom a way that this team loses enough conference games to force Glass to reconsider his position on Crean. I think, at this point, that any change will come after tournament end. That is abundantly clear, at least to me. If I am wrong and Crean is pushed out, I will be very happy to be wrong.

It is now abundantly clear that CTC is going nowhere during the season. However, barring a E8 or better finish, I am finished with him. He continues to put the same product on the floor and continues to recruit like he is at Marquette. Why do we offer so many 3* kids so early in the process? It is almost as if he can't show interest without a scholarship offer.

Wisconsin twice, Ohio St and Illinois. I see the schedule, I am just not overly confident with a team that gives me little to no confidence. -

My guess is IU will drop at least 2 of the next 7 games. If they win 5 of the next 7, I will be happy. -

Ok, if we want to play the if game, if IU wins out they will win the NCAA Championship. -

I am watching a team that continues to turn the ball over and is a work in progress defensively. Certainly I am not watching a team that is top 10-15. "the next 7 games or so look very favorable for IU...they legit could win them all and find themselves in the top 10 or 15...it's those last 10-12 games(I'm including postseason) that we will find what this team is made of." -

I don't know what IU team you have been watching. -

Sad fact, our defense is better with Blackmon on the bench. OG is going to be a player. I would greatly limit JBJ's minutes until he learns to play defense. -

Yogi will never learn how horrible that jump on the baseline is. He has done it for 4 years and somehow thinks it is smart. -

Blackmon may be one of the worst defenders I have ever seen. -

I don't agree with all the negative stuff about Yogi. I will admit Yogi has not been the leader we all hoped. He has had a couple of off-court missteps and certainly has not been able to herd the group. However, I am of the opinion that a lot of that falls on CTC. CTC has failed to demand a certain culture. Just like he fails to demand defense, he failed to demand personal accountability. Instead, he embraced the idea of helping the kid work through youthful mistakes. Crean is a good guy, I just don't think he is a great head coach. His inability to demand discipline is exactly why he doesn't have a disciplined team. -

You may be right that he wasn't the right man for the job. My point, which you commented on, was that it is understandable why he would be bitter. Maybe you have never experienced a situation where you felt betrayed. Whether or not he should have, based on your view, he certainly did and I can at least understand why. -

Has Crean? Crean has had several years to prove his competence. DD went 3-4 after the departure of Sampson. They lost 1st round of B1G tournament, something Crean is notorious for and they lost as an 8 seed to a 9 seed in the NCAA. That, is a very common occurrence. So, coach gets fired, players are beyond out of control and he still managed to finish the regular season 3-2. Yeah, what was Crean in year 1? It is a lame argument to imply DD was a failure of a coach at IU given the only sample size was 7 games after Sampson was run out of town. By your standard, Crean should have been fired midway through season 1. -

If you were DD and started cleaning up the Sampson mess only to have IU pass on you for Crean, you might be bitter too. -
This win changes nothing as far as my view of CTC. He has to go. Even with this win, they played very little defense for most of the game. The product continues to be the same which is why he has to go. I would like to see if Keith Smart is interested in the job if the top names pass on the job.
