For some reason the "QUOTE" feature isn't working on my PC. So, for USPSHoosier.   I know that is the issue. However, 1 of those was an in-conference road loss to a team that also beat Iowa. And, the Maui Invitational was back in December. It was basically a different team. I can't understand how those games carry any weight considering we have 1 bad conference loss, on the road at PSU. I think Izzo is praised as some sort of basketball god and that gives them the benefit of a bonus seed in the NCAA.

What baffles me is that IU won the B1G title by 2 full games, had 1 less win than, has a comparable RPI with MSU holding less than .01 advantage yet MSU is ranked #2 with IU #10. MSU is slotted to have a #1 seed with IU currently slotted at a "possible" #3 seed. Yes, IU lost handily to MSU but it was at East Lansing. No telling how that game would have played out at IU.

The truth, I thought we would drop the game in Iowa and barely pull out the game out home vs MD. So happy to see the boys close out the B1G the first chance they had.

If we win this game, I cannot see how we don't get at least a 2 seed. If we win this last game and go to the B1G Tournament Championship, I believe we should be a 1 seed. That would be a great accomplishment considering our Maui effort. However, that accomplishment means very little if it does not translate into a deep NCAA Tournament run.

I like Tom the man, Tom the coach leaves a little to be desired. This may be his best performance as a coach, evaluating the beginning of the season through the B1G schedule. However, if he can't get into the field of 8 this year, I believe it is time to try someone new. I expect IU to compete for the B1G title every year so while it was a nice accomplishment, it does not define a great year at IU. He has to be able to build teams that can compete late into the NCAA and S16s are nothing to brag about at IU. We want the goods.

My view has not changed....much. Yes, for the first time we actually witness him change the product on the court. However, I think that was forced by the Blackmon injury. I still believe it is Elite 8 or bust. If he fails to achieve that, it is time to cut ties and go find someone that can deliver the big prize not the consolation prize.

You could go ahead and start it CC. I am sure it will get a lot of traction just like the Fire CTC thread. That doesn't mean all of us fans will agree. I am old enough to know about most of his misdeeds but IU didn't fire him. Hell, they did nearly nothing to curb his behavior. If you want to be truly honest, IU helped grow RMK into the tyrant and asshole many of you believe him to be.   To be honest, I think he deserved to be fired. However, the way it went down was lame. For years they said nothing, then you have a hands-on moment with Neil Reed and suddenly he is under a "zero tolerance" policy. Hell, RMK had been doing that crap for years so what had changed; winning. I wish he had retired a few years sooner and you wouldn't be referencing "things before you were born" actions. But he didn't. So, when he was ushered out in a half-assed way, I kind of get his animosity. I wish he would accept IU's offer to reconcile with the program but I have accepted that it will likely not happen. Sad for him and IU.   Regardless, it isn't my place to condemn him for his irreconcilable differences with IU. He feels how he feels regardless of how many of you believe he should.

You can "not throw kudos his way" without throwing insults and demands his way.

And the Knight haters think they should be able to tell other people about what they should or shouldn't do and how they should or shouldn't feel. You are not Bob Knight so stop trying to demand he do something. He has a right to have his own views on things and unless you walked in his shoes throughout his entire life, let alone his IU tenure, you have no right assuming he should do anything the way that you would like.

OG continuing to make a strong argument. Troy needs to stop handling the ball and his production should go up. Defensively, he needs a whole new mindset.

Ok, let me start by following up on a post I made after the Nebraska game. Someone posted that we would likely win the next 7 games and I thought they were bonkers. I went as far as to say I would be happy going 5-2 over the next 7 with the way our group was playing. So, sad performance today but overall very happy as a fan. We went 6-1 through the easy part of the B1G schedule. Here is to hoping the defense picks back up and that the 3s start dropping again.
