Add Romeo and I see it as a fringe top 5 class. Regardless, I am happy with Archie's first class. Not getting my hopes up on Romeo though.

The commit I was most impressed with today was Rob Phinisee. It was the first time I've seen him play in person, but I came away feeling he has the chance to come in and play from day 1. He was very smart with the ball in terms of finding the open guy and also got to the rim at will. Very impressed. Jerome Hunter and Damezi Anderson both started somewhat slow with foul trouble, but they finished the game off nicely other than Jerome being ejected after his 2nd tech. Damezi hit some big time 3's, including one with a defender in his grill where I looked at Matt Painter after and he said "Wow!" The first game I saw today was CG vs. HSE. TJD didn't take a single jumper from what I remember, so definitely needs to develop an outside game. Majak is pretty raw on both sides. Overall, Romeo was above and beyond the best player of all the games. Expected this, but he lit it up on offense, and he also played great D on Brooks. We will be alright regardless, but I want Romeo at IU VERY badly.

Crazy how everyone thinks he will choose the one Nike school in his top 3 when it was always thought he would definitely go to an Adidas school. Guess the 2 top 5 guys are reason for that, but why Vandy over Kansas if anything? If he wants to be the guy, he will be a Hoosier.

New unis for tomorrow night's game

As mentioned above, kind of easy to just say Romeo to Vandy is a done deal since they just landed two 5-star guys. If IU lands him, a great class becomes an exceptional class. If not, IU will still be just fine! Archie couldn't do much more.

I'm not buying that anyone other than the Langford's know where Romeo is going, and they may not even know yet.

Regardless, free throw shooting shouldn't be near this bad. Hopefully we see it improve

Curious if the shooting has been so bad because of the amount of time they spent on trying to learn the new defense in the offseason

IF (Big IF) DG does choose Vandy, IU will be just fine. One player does not define our future. Archie has already built a great class in limited time. Imagine what he will do with the 2019 class. Stay up regardless! We are heading in the right direction. Can't wait to see what happens on the floor tomorrow night.

I feel you haha. Give Archie time, and we will be competing with the big dogs on many recruitments. I'm happy with next year's class already, so even one of Romeo Or DG would be a cherry on top

Vandy fans are not used to winning the big recruitments. Hopefully this one stays on that same course
