Nate Sudfeld leaving IU?
Homegrown Hoosier replied to Naturalhoosier's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
Don't forget, IU Football is getting another West-Coast QB next season in Zander Diamont. Could be another reason Sudfeld might be on the way out. will be interesting to see how this unfolds. -
Welcome fellow Hoosier! Hope you enjoy BtownBanners.

OT: IZZO Not Happy with Attendance Issues
Homegrown Hoosier replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Attendance issues have been plaguing a lot of college basketball programs. Indiana is obviously not one of them. It's just a different culture in Assembly Hall. When I see seats open at a game, even if they're for a match-up with some cupcake I've never heard of, I get really upset because I know there are plenty of other Hoosiers out there who would love to be at the game. There's a level of accountability at IU. If I know someone who has tickets and can't make the game, I try my hardest to get them into the hands of someone else. Nonetheless, attendance is always great at The Hall, especially when B1G play rolls around. The fans have always been here for this program. Even in our worst 3 year span, the attendance rate was higher than it has been for Purdue the last 3 years. Hoosiers are incredibly dedicated and passionate about their basketball. Just another reason why I love being a HOOSIER. -
First Look: Washington Huskies
Homegrown Hoosier replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I like this match-up vs the guard oriented Huskies. Think Vonleh will continue his dominance and Sheehey/Hollowell will step up too. Like the Hoosiers by 12 and playing UConn on Friday. Sent from my Windows Phone -
Good old Purdue. Claim they're "better" at basketball, until now. Claim they're "better" at football, until this season. Once we overtake the overall record in basketball, what argument do you think they'll come up with? They've been sticking to the same one since 1940. But, it's quickly running out.

Derek Elston - IU Director of Player Development
Homegrown Hoosier replied to ccgeneral's topic in Hoosiers in the Pros
Glad to see this Homegrown Hoosier being successful! Gotta say, he's living the life. Getting to play ball and living it up on a Mediterranean island. Doesn't get much better than that! -
In the state of Indiana it goes like this: Indiana - best at basketball. Notre Dame - best at football. Purdue - best at trying real, real hard. BOILER DOWN!!!

OT: LOL, Illinois fans react to Cliff Alexander Decision
Homegrown Hoosier replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Sucks to be Illinois. Lose the name Assembly Hall from your arena and now this recruiting debacle. Wonder if this is what people that were worried about our recruiting class thought would happen to us... Either way, Illinois is just plain Illinoying. GO HOOSIERS!!! -
Crean's weak scheduling
Homegrown Hoosier replied to hoosierfan33's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Don't forget, if Cal hadn't ended the series with IU then we'd still have a marquee non-conference match-up each and every season. Glass has been working on trying to slate another team like Louisville, to fill that void. Do we play cupcakes? Of course we do!!! But, so does every other team. The difference between those teams and Indiana is that WE PLAY IN THE TOUGHEST BASKETBALL CONFERENCE IN THE NATION! Playing easy teams in the non-conf is part of college basketball. Just have to make the most of those games and cherish the few quality non-conf opponents each season. -
Biggest Scheduled Game?
Homegrown Hoosier replied to jdailey1981's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Tons of HUGE games in B1G play, but Syracuse is the top game. Redemption + Tough Road Game = Biggest Game. -
(2014) PG JaQuan Lyle to Oregon
Homegrown Hoosier replied to All_Hoosiers's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Getting Lyle would be a good get, but would put the scholarship situation under scrutiny once again. Anyone think Crean is satisfied with being one over the limit or is he looking for more for this upcoming class? -
What Three Things Will You Be Watching For In Friday's Game?
Homegrown Hoosier replied to JaybobHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
1. Quick Start 2. Solid Defensive Performance 3. Leadership of Yogi and Will -
OT: Trey Lyles Family was "Attacked" by Hoosiers
Homegrown Hoosier replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
It's comical that UK fans think that Oladipo didn't graduated. Guess the idea of getting a degree in 3 years is even more incomprehensible than the thought of getting one at all. -
Indiana's Recruiting "Issues"
Homegrown Hoosier replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
And people were doubting this coaching staff on this recruiting class... -
JBJ gives JaQuan hint in in decision?
Homegrown Hoosier replied to SWEETLEMONbrown's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Lyle also said this after the JBJ's commitment: (Lyle on if Blackmon's decision will affect him) "We'll just have to see (laughing). We'll just have to see, won't we?" Plus he apparently already knew who Blackmon was going with. Are they collaborating and wanting to play together in college? Certainly could be! -
Indiana's Recruiting "Issues"
Homegrown Hoosier replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Agree 110%. A top 5 recruiting class would be amazing, but we should focus on developing these great young players we already have and building a championship caliber team. There's no doubt that this is a somewhat transitional year for Indiana Basketball, but imagine the lineup next year with most of the same pieces but with much more experience... That's gonna be a damn good basketball team! -
IU Opens 8 1/2 Favorites Over Minnesota
Homegrown Hoosier replied to All_Hoosiers's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
I believe the rest this IU team has gotten with the week off will benefit it. Hopefully there will be less exhaustion and broken tackles on the defensive side (note: I said less). Still going to have to beat Minnesota by putting up big numbers and lots of points. I think starting Tre without a doubt gives you the best chance to do this. -
OT/ AJ Hammons suspended 3 games
Homegrown Hoosier replied to Hwy 1's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Seems as if Painter is losing respect of players. They keep doing incredibly stupid things. Compound that with being Purdue and you're really in a hole. -
I really don't think this commitment affects Robinson's decision. Will be interesting to see who he chooses.

OT/ AJ Hammons suspended 3 games
Homegrown Hoosier replied to Hwy 1's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Anybody know how many suspensions Purdue athletics has had the last few years? Byrd, Barlow, Hammons, and the countless football suspensions... -
Personal IU question for everyone?
Homegrown Hoosier replied to Hoosiers96's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Just on paper the runner-up beats the outright title. However, Indiana had the better team and better overall season. Happy to have won the Big Ten outright. That's hard as hell, especially now in the best conference in the nation. Hopefully we'll be making our appearance in a NCAA Championship game soon and when we do, we'll win it! -
Thought I included it in the message. Either way it's homegrownhoosierreport@gmail.com. Sorry about that!

Forgot to do my #IUBBPickEm's for the Purdue game. Saying goodbye to my 2nd place.
