  I think it's been the fad the past few years to build super teams of one-and-dones down at UK.  It just doesn't have the same appeal to kids anymore. Kids want to make their mark on a program, not blend in, even if it is for only a year. That's why I think UK might be struggling this year. We'll see what happens in the coming seasons. (Having said all that, they will probably still have the #1 recruiting class, but no where near as good as the past 5, 6 years)

If Kevin Ollie can win a 'ship in his first season, CTC can certainly stumble upon one in his career.

7. Can JBJ and Troy make the jump that people expect them to make?

I'd say the talent this team posseses is greater than 12-13 team.  Did that team really have more experience? Or were they just older?  I think were clinging onto the last good team that the program has had and clinging to it because we have to have something that we can use to argue the "We're back!" that was on those tshirts.  This team will be better. It's well-rounded, and has loads upon loads of potential IF JBJ and Troy take the next step.  Possibly 3 first rounders in next years draft (Yogi, JBJ, and Troy).  I'm infatuated with IU BBall but we need to be realistic, we are not Duke, Kentucky, or Kansas, BUT we could be eventually. Let's hold off on the next "We're back!" tshirts until then.

Thinking about it, maybe its better this way. We'll have a chance to evaluate our team "as-is" and then if we don't see ourselves as legit contenders mid-season then bring on Thon. As long as he doesn't have to make a decision prior to the season.   However, if this is how it works, I'd imagine the rule will be changed very soon so that players aren't allowed to join programs mid-season. MOST kids can graduate HS in 3 1/2 years so whats to stop every 1-and-done from doing this.
