I know this is a basketball forum, but the first Doc that came to my mind was our old swim coach. Doc Counsilman. -
(5) Indiana vs (4) Kentucky - 3/19 17:15 EST on CBS

If we don't get the ball OUT of Williams' hands, we are going to get our butts kicked big time! I don't know who the heck thinks him handling the ball has ever been a good game plan. -
How is the radio reception where you work? Maybe you could stay up-to-date with ESPN radio, or the like.

Could be about the new, fancy, only at IU media/replay/the matrix thing Cuban bought for them?
-
Ah well, that explains it. Not available here in Brown County.
-
What station are you guys watching?

We always called him Granddad Waiters.

Pffft! We had that sort of experience back in the sixties. Now, what did I do with my headphones? Hmmm. -
We Are The Champions IU vs Iowa Post Game Thread
Tom White replied to JaybobHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Especially when the team's last time out is used immediately before taking the ball out. I still don't understand why he did that. -
Gold & Black Idiots
-
Yes. This is a game in which the pace IU normally plays at could be a big factor.
-
This is a scary time to play them, though. They have lost, what is it, 4 of the last five? Anyway, that is the sort of time that makes a team dig deep down and find their pride.
-
Wow. It sure SEEMS like it has been a lot longer than that.
-
True. It could be a week, or it could be a month, depending on how severe it is. Worst example? The Pacers' Rodney Stuckey has now missed something like 27 games because of a severe sprain. On the other hand, there are many examples of these younger guys healing more quickly, and missing relatively little time. I guess the team just has to be prepared for any scenario.

Ok. I've seen that POTFB acronym a few times on this board, but can't for the life of me figure out what it means. Anyone want to help out here? -

Chuck Marlowe has passed away at 86
Tom White replied to MartintheMopMan's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
A number of years ago, one of the Bloomington radio stations did a spoof of Chuck and Laz. It was Buck Marlowe in the 21st Century, with his Loyal Sidekick Laz. Buck and Laz were interplanetary astronauts, travelling the galaxy. They thought they were on the proper course, headed for home. However, after he got them "a million miles off course" poor Buck was demoted from interstellar astronaut to helicopter traffic reporter. It was great! -
Did you watch the MS vs Maryland game? The whole lower bowl was filled with students going nuts! All of them wearing "day-glo" green t-shirts that look like they glow in the dark. The team wore a similar green. Looked like a bunch of ninja-turtles running around out there.

He should probably see a doctor before he misses any more p's.
-
I think it was just an "air ball" chant.

Yeah! Wait until his whiney ass reads this. He'll have to buy a store full of kleenex to cry in. What a pansy!

Indiana v. Northwestern POSTGAME Thread
Tom White replied to MartintheMopMan's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I think we are seeing this actually happen recently. It seems Crean has been pulling him earlier than he did before. Maybe that is just my imagination at play, but it sure seems to be hapoening. Maybe it is for rotation purposes? -
Indiana v. Northwestern POSTGAME Thread

Yeah, and I hope the sun rises in the West tomorrow. Seriously, I hope he "gets it" too. I'm not willing to bet on it though. -
In the balcony, you don't even feel like you're in the same building. I love Assembly Hall, but I absolutely HATE the balcony. I am amazed that no one has ever fallen from up there. Think about the total number of people who have sat there over all the years, and it really surprises me that it has never happened.....and I pray it never does. Disclaimer and Clarification: I am not a student. My years at IU were before the hall was even around.
