Because most coaches realize that their hiring starts the countdown to when they are let go. Very few get lifetime jobs. I think people are reading way too much into what he said, or did not say.

There is a podcast on fox59 (wxin) also.

Nope. Its fun. -
The same can be said for all of the top coaches.

Coach Search 2017 IU Candidate: Tony Bennett (University of Virginia)

Any conference titles or conference tournament titles? -
Sorry. Did not know that. Just going by what I had heard.

That kid with the Maryland t-shirt is probably bragging to his friends and taking credit now.

Yeah! This site has slowed to a crawl on my laptop and tablet! Ironically enough, Wade is now out for the rest of the NBA season.
-
HA! The main thread keeps crashing for me.

I like that he will consult with former IU players. By the way, DD is going NUTS on 1070! Calling out everyone from the Administration to Quinn. Calling the "IU way" a bunch of "chicken blank". What a tool!

Dan Dakitch is confirming this! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!

Seems to me I've heard of a guy named Todd with that last name, but I'm not sure about the spelling of that name. His 23 followers doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

The bars and restaurants? Sure, to an extent. The hotels? Not really. There are only 17,000 seats, unlike the crowd the football stadium can hold. Darn near half of those basketball seats go to students, so they aren't staying at hotels. Also, so many on the games are on a night where people have to get up and go to work the next day, so those people (along with most others from out of town) would not be staying in town. Hotel/Restaurant/Bar is what I did all my working life before retiring, and I can tell you the hotel part of your synopsis is minimal, in particular when compared to football.

What does that have to do with the rest of it? That term gets thrown around so much that it almost has its own agenda. It has gotten to the point that saying it is more political than not using it.

How long would he have to be at the counter in order for the cashier to hear enough to know that? What are the odds she walked up to him just as he was saying "press conference....Thursday"? And wouldn't he do everything to avoid having that phone conversation in public?
-
I meant the game loss, not the loss of Crean.
-
Maybe just trying to make people feel better about the loss to Ga. Tech.
-
Great! Now, what did they say about Thomas Aaron Crean?
-
I did the same thing myself. Should I start giving my age in dog years?
-
Will Glass wake up first?
-
Probably on his way to GA Tech.
-
Except Glass said the coaching staff was on board with giving up the home game.
-
You are probably right, and I'm aware of "conditional" interviews, but didn't Sterling say he didn't ask because he knew what Glass would (wouldn't) say?
-
Sounds like a good reason to not tune in to Sterling's show. How can he let Glass go without even trying to get an answer? Unbelievable.
