Archie Miller's staff at Indiana will be Bruiser Flint, Tom Ostrom (Dayton) and Ed Schilling (UCLA),

Although I would agree, having a big man coach would be a good addition, I really don't care to see any of those three on the staff. -

I'm sure everyone will remember.....and be more than willing to remind you, as well. -

This is a post from that message board "Groce was gone by the time you guys were around, there were whispers of a scandal involving a high school girl...nothing ever verified just rumor" So, that is your proof? Some guy saying there were "whispers" and "rumor"? Pretty thin ice you're on there. -

They both have playing experience, but I'm curious where Guyton has coaching experience? I wasn't aware of that. -

I have also heard that he would tell a coach to use a kid a different way. The way he thought he would use the kid at IU, instead of what was better for the high school team. -
There may be some of that, but I also remember stories about some quality Indiana kids not even getting a phone call from Crean.
-
I'll have to disagree. I think he gets it. That doesn't mean he will ignore the rest of the country, but I think we will see an increased effort to recruit Indiana.

At least the rocket was red & white. -
Hello? Jimmy Johns?
-
To be clear about this - Fred said Archie was the only one he OFFERED the job to. That does not mean he was the only one who was asked if they had interest in the job.
-
Point of curiosity. Were any of those coaches following Crean?

Also known as the Hurdy Gurdy Man. That was the first song I heard on the radio of my first car.

Odd as it may sound, I wouldn't mind seeing him stay. He's done everything asked of him. That's more than can be said for some. -
Donovan is a him. Late 1960's singer-songwriter. Very flower power sort.

I Thought they were very level and even keeled. Darn near cordial.

What the heck is that supposed to mean?

I did some checking to see how the two schools did vs. common opponents this past season. Here is what I found: Austin Peay: Dayton W 96-68 (Home), IU W 97-62 (Home) Nebraska: Dayton L 78-80 (in Calif), IU L 55-68 (Away), W 63-62 (Home) Northwestern: Dayton L 64-67 (Away), IU L 55-68 (Away), W 63-62 (Home) So: vs. Austin Peay: they were pretty even. vs. Nebraska: I would argue Dayton did a better job considering game location. vs. Northwestern: Dayton did MUCH better playing at NU than IU did. Make of it what you may. I also posted this in the "Who do we hire" thread.

I can't say AMEN enough times for this post!

I heard an interview with one of Marshall's previous AD's who said Marshall's mindset was the AD worked for him, not the other way around. No coach should think they are the AD's boss.

Or maybe the tarmac at Oolitic International Airport.

Have you given any thought to the idea that he was NOT in Bloomington?
