As the season has developed and the more I think about it, I may have a new potential starting 5 for next year. If we get Langford of course that would change everything so assuming we get Langford here would be my starting five. I would probably have to go with Phinisee, Green and Langford kind of a 3 guard backcourt although Langford could be considered a small forward type. We don't even know for sure if Davis will ever make it back. We also don't know if Morgan will Go Pro although I personally doubt it. So with those assumptions I would probably put Morgan at Center and then you're left with a question of do you play Justin Smith or Jerome Hunter at power forward also we know nothing about race Thompsons progression. So I'm basically now just kind of thinking maybe Robert phinisee, Devonte green, Romeo Langford, Juwan Morgan at Center and then the real question mark is the 4 spot in my opinion. Lord, I hope your right! I was 9 or 10 years old when I listened to Indiana win its last National Championship when the radio in my friends bedroom.. This is ridiculous. We can no longer consider ourselves elite. I mean come on, 31 years is way too long. We should have bought in another headliner coach when we fired knight we allowed this program to wallow in mediocrity for far too long. There are generations of young kids out there that don't know anything about the good old days of IU. There is no guarantee we'll we'll ever be elite again. Just my opinion, but I don't think he wastes his time coming to the game today just to tell Coach Miller never mind. I think either he's made up his mind or he needs a closer look at IU. I Could be totally wrong of course, always fun to speculate!

Good point, but coach Cal puts tons of guys who are used to being the man together every year for a chance at a championship run. These kids are also used to sharing the rock with all the summer league and AAU teams and such. If he's only planning on being in school one year anyway, but you may be on to something. I hope you're right.

Even if that comes to fruition, I still see us being only marginally better than this year. I'm not sold on Davis yet. We need a legitimate big that plays like it,maybe in the 2019or 2020 class. I think it will take him a while to really fill out the roster, maybe 2 or 3 years. The thing is with Archie, I believe, is finding guys that fit the system.
