I don’t have a problem with anyone going negative, fans are allowed to do that IMO. It’s been rough for sure but I’ll keep after it and hope the turnaround comes soon. Archie hasn’t just forgotten how to coach. Something isn’t right with the players tho, that’s for sure. I always point to the fact that MOST of this roster was brought in by Crean. At some point young people start to wonder about who or what they are playing for. It could be a bit of what’s happening. As far as what I can tell philosophically it seems that he is multiple in the offensive sets (seems to like the pistol but also shotgun spread). From highlights I’ve seen near goal line he has gone in pistol and under center a few times but seems super creative down there. His red zone numbers are fantastic which should make us feel better. I think all 3 QBs we have should feel comfortable with what he does. McMarryion (the Fresno qb) didn’t seem like a dual threat but had decent running numbers (about 400 yds and 8 rushing tds). It’s gonna be interesting I think. Our QB situation is gonna be a wild ride I think. Penix needs to be healthy and tuttle needs to be cleared. Ramsey will do all he can to improve and will likely get better. Often times in these situations it feels like whomever grasps the new guys playbook best will be the front runner. I get wanting a complete offensive staff overhaul had we fired DeBo but he just retired. Whoever it is can’t expect Allen to axe his whole offensive staff just to bring him in. I agree totally that Taylor needs to be a weapon on O and cannot get over how terribly he was misused last year. I do believe I read that he WANTED to play defense though because he wanted his best shot to grow there and play in the nfl there. On Ramsey, I believe he is an ok qb who would make any team happy to have as their backup. I tend to believe that papaw Debo had plenty of plays called to get the ball downfield and Ramsey wouldn’t do it. Penix would come in and IMMEDIATELY look to push the ball downfield. I’m very excited about the talent level being brought in. I don’t take too much stock In recruiting rankings when it comes to BIG. If we are top 40 nationally and the still bottom in terms of BIG, then hell, kudos to the BIG for having great year recruiting.
