Troy Williams returning to IU!!!!!!
JG84 replied to HoosierSadaseci's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
That was my first thought as well, that Crean was coming back. If this is true, I hope we get Thon or TB. I don't think Crean is the guy long term moving forward but if he is staying, need to upgrade the 5 spot. -
For this team, a Tuesday game would be good. Team can have light practices, rest today and tomorrow and then travel on Monday to Dayton. Keeps the team focused on playing.

Solid game boys! Liked the effort. Bring it again tomorrow against Maryland. IU! -
Can I get in on the PMs or are they all taken?
-
Need to win two. I give us 50% chance to beat NW and 33% to beat Maryland if we win so 16.5% chance to get to the semi's. That sounds about right.

Emotionally, I'm spent. My sports life lives around IU and I still support the university, but where do I go from here. Honestly, cannot get excited about BTT and unless we pull a rabbit out of our hat, we aren't making the tournament. Our head coaching position may or may not be up for grabs. Someone give me something positive for the future cause right I don't see much.

Potential fallout from coaching change

Personally, Stevens would be my first, last, and only pick. -
Potential fallout from coaching change

Serious question...if a major coach with a proven track record, why not take a mid major with a proven track record? Also, anyone with knowledge know if a buyout is possible? -
Indiana vs. Iowa Official Game Thread (7pm ET, ESPN)

Need a change. Crean needs to go. End of story. Playing this bad, at home, down the stretch. Students apparently knew something. -
I always thought Cameron looked about as big as my high school gym...and my high was only 3A.

Thanks. Like I said I'm biased, but tend to not get too excited about ratings. This team is playing well right now, but that could all change quickly. My thoughts were mostly about Texas. I just think they have not lived up to expectations, but I think Rick Barnes is a decent coach.

Anyone see the AP top 25 today? I thought some of the teams outside the poll ahead of IU are severely overrated while the coaches' poll and RPI have us just outside the top 25, and more importantly, in my opinion, are better reflections of where I think this team is right now. I am biased but would like others' opinions.

Strong effort! Regroup and on to Minny back at the Hall

If true, he has a serious illness. It develops from strep infections. The body produces antibodies against the strep that attack his own body and can affect the brain, kidneys, and his heart. Can be fatal but if treated in a timely fashion then usually not. Most common long term affect is the destruction of heart valves that may necessitate needing valve replacement. Pray he has a full recovery of true.

Thanks for shedding some light. I think I would still take Trey if he wanted to come to IU

This is probably a dumb question, but what makes Tom Lyles so bad? I know nothing about him

Syracuse self-impose post season ban

This is an insult for sure. Hope Thomas Bryant sees through this. NCAA too weak to stand up to Syracuse. -

Great game! Just gotta keep it going. -
That is a great line! I'm not sure exactly what you do but we all have to answer "what if" questions. This team has grown and we haven't even peaked yet. They continue to respond to adversity. The true Indiana way.

HMP likely out 2-4 weeks with a knee injury
JG84 replied to Rookie33's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Agree. All depends on how much of the joint tissue was damaged, but yes can be several weeks of recovery. In my experience, if it's strictly the knee cap then it should get better in less than a week. -

Yeah, the knee cap can slide out of place. It's called subluxation. Normally it pops back into place with pressure and knee extension. These typically get better in a few days. This is not a true dislocation. This can be prevented with knee braces. -

JG84 replied to Rookie33's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I'm not sure what a dislocated knee is. Knees don't dislocate. He either tore a ligament or sprained it. Obviously, a tear would mean his season. A sprain would mean 4-8 weeks. I hope this is all a bad dream. Odd that Crean did not address today unless an MRI is pending. -
Will say this: Crean showed his first real sign of swagger last night and the team responded. That is the kind of coach we need. Winning and a coach with confidence will bring this program back perennially. Why did it take 7 years or how ever many years Crean has been here to show some emotion like that?

My mother-in-law is so good to me! Got a hoodie, sweat pants, and a matching t-shirt. Perfect for watching games.
