Same Here, Thats the guy I want the most other than a point.I wonder if coach sees RoJo as a possable replacement for Yogi. I Think he may make a good one.If not we need to sign one yesterday.

Best Pure Shooter/Best Scorer In IU BBall History
GloryDays replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I will go with Jay edwards also as the best pure shooter. Can't imagine the numbers he could have put up in 4 years. I recall a game at home against Illinois ,I think in 89 when we had a slugfest going back and forth with great shots being made. I think they won on a last second 3 by Nick Anderson.Even in a loss one of the greatest games I ever saw at the hall. -

4th leading scorer all time,Hurt almost entire senior year plus no 3 point line. Can you guess who? I Would have to put him in the discussion for scorer with Calbert. And no I dont have a man crush! -

I don't want to imply that Thon is a bad kid because I know nothing about him but he's being handled by his coach and he seems to be of the Brandon Bender type,AKA Baby WWW. -

Theres something about this kid and all the peripheral action that makes me think STAY AWAY.Leave that crap to the Ky's and the Kansas's of the world.I want us to win but not like that. This is a prime example of whats wrong with college basketball today. -

Besides IU/Toughest Big Ten Arenas
GloryDays replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I have a feeling Marylands not going to be an easy road game. They have a nice new arena with students right on top of you and have had a pretty strong program for years. With all the talent in that area I expect Turgen to get them going. That is if Louisville and kenny Johnson don't steal them all. -
I agree. My son and I have talked about this a lot during games and he has always brought up the sub patterns and the timing of them. They seem to be preset and have nothing to do with the flow of the game.I think that he tries to wear a team down with fresh players playing at a hyper pace. The problem i see, and this is just my opinion, is in todays game there are so many stoppages due to TV that kids dont wear down like that. I think what it does a lot of times is kill momentum and let the other team back in.Hopefuly all the booing last year had some kind of affect on coach but he seems really inflexable to me.

Great post.

I agree, Ky as much as i hate them had just won a national championship. We went to a sweet 16 and looked lost against a team our coach had played against countless times. Not the same. We lost to an illinois team when we had them beat by subbing the entire squad and playing zone against a team thats only strength was outside shooting. To me that was when things started south. Not to mention the Wisky game where the same thing happened with the mob subs. Follow that year up with (well you know) and we are in trouble. Ky AKA the Antichrist as far as performance is concerned is miles ahead.

I think the It's Indiana slogan is loosing its luster. Kids want to play for winners and right or wrong I dont think that is the perception today.I also feel the roster turnover is a real negative and used against us in recruiting. We are recruiting as we speak and dont have a spot open.Someone might leave to play for pay but I dont see it.That means a transfer and could very well be a homegrown kid leaving. That will start burning bridges with high school coaches in the state. It cant be a good long term approach to recruiting. I visit other sites sometimes being a basketball junkie and there is a lot of fun poked at CTC.Kids read these thing too. We need to win this year or it's only going to get worse.I think this is a make or break year for us. All that being said i hope we kick some ass this year because CTC has a lot of qualities I admire and don't see much of if any at either program just south of the border.

Most Underrated IU BBall Player All Time
GloryDays replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Yep. Those to guys were what every team needs. I loved Radford as much for his attitude as his play.I thought Remmy was going to be that kind of player. Don't know what happened there unless it was Stan's signing.Stan has a whole lot of that going on too as far as the physical aspect. The other part not so sure. -

Most Underrated IU BBall Player All Time

Jim Thomas comes to mind.Big, physical, great rebounder out of the guard position plus lockdown defender. Was invaluable in the 81 title run and made the all tourney team. -
Sporting News Picks IU to finish 10th in B1G

I dont think so either but I would have to think this staff would have to start circling the wagons. I was just trying to be funny with the creaned thing. -
Sporting News Picks IU to finish 10th in B1G
GloryDays replied to Hutch89's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
If this really happens I think our coach might get creaned! I really cant see this team being as bad as last years. They were disfunctional. No shooters, chemestry issues and some really strange coaching. Hopefully coach has learned from his mistakes. -
Favorite IU BBall Players Of All Time
GloryDays replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
My Username says it all! I guess a lot of it is because he is close to my age and I went to the Ky /In All Stars game in Louisville that year and he outplayed Darrel Griffith. In those days without the Internet I didnt know much about him and living close to louisville all I heard was Dr Dunkinstein. Smooth as silk and a scoring machine. Those fros and giant bellbottoms were pretty cool too. -
Who Will Be IU's Next Commitment
GloryDays replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I Hope its Shake. Looks like he could be a really nice big lead guard and with Yogi gone for sure his soph year it will be a position of need. Also if any of the 4/5 types we have can play I dont think we need Morgan as bad. Might want to save a spot for Davis or Leaf in 16. -

GloryDays replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I agree on Leaf. Would love to have Maker but feel like he would only be here a year and as with our last 1 and done might not be all in all the time.Leaf would most likely be here 2 or more. I'm not saying Noah was a bad kid but I think he mailed it in towards the end when a win or 2 would have changed things. -
Most Costly IU Injuries of All Time
GloryDays replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I know this is probably not the top but has to be right behind the May and Henderson injurys,Mike Woodson in 1980 with the back.Never was the same after. That team was really good and ranked No1 when he went down. Lost to Joe Berry Carrol and the Boilers in the tourney. We had a pretty good freshman guard on that team also.
