Victor all the way. -
Learn something new everyday.I thought they were competitors. The tico just kind of vanished from the Southern In, Louisville area.

I remember trying to get channel 4 on the rabbit ears. Some days the reception was bad, others really bad.You young dudes don't know how good you have it .We didn't have the fancy interwebs back then.Cable or Satellite either for that matter. It was pure Hell I tell you!

Sporting News Picks IU to finish 10th in B1G
GloryDays replied to Hutch89's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
i agree! Devin Davis was really coming on at the end of the year and reports are he has packed on 15 lb's of muscle mass. I think between Him and Hanner with a little Holt thrown in we'lll be fine. And you never know April may suprise us all and come out of the boot ready to prove naysayers wrong.I know I would if I read some of the crap spewed here. I say give the kid a chance before we write him off. -

Hope your dad gets well soon.37 is my route too but from below Paoli.Thats a wonderful trip in the fall. Again, best wishes for a speedy recovery. -
I remember when I was a kid and Taco Tico was the big dog and Taco Bell was an upstart. They tried to get one started in New Albany a few years back but it went belly up.I liked that place in the day.Something about squirting food out of caulk guns really turns me off to the Bell. :nono:

NCAA BBall Prediction/Seed/Round of Advancement
GloryDays replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Hounds, I think you are pretty close other than the JBJ prediction.I think this kid has moxie and will play older than he is. Nothing but a hunch but there just seems to be something about the way he carries Himself.I think he's going to be Kick A$$. -
When Will Bob Knight/IU Patch Things Up
GloryDays replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
If I were Coach Knight this would feel like an open wound that wouldnt heal. Not one that was here in those dark days is here now and the only peaple hurt by this are the loyal fans ,Me included, former players, and Coach Knight himself.I've held grudges forever and It just about killed me with the energy it took. It's not worth it. Life is short and time is ticking away on this matter.Hope AJ's letter finds it's mark. Kind of preachy ,I know. Sorry! -

NCAA BBall Prediction/Seed/Round of Advancement
GloryDays replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I could see us as a 6 if we finish top 5 in the big and i really think we could with the right breaks. The other side of that is we could be 8th in the Big and outside looking in.Hoosier Nation will explode if that happens.Dont even want to think about that sceanario! Time to go to work and get it done!Like I've said in previous post's this is a make or break season for this program in my opinion.Go Hoosiers! -
Everything in moderation they say. I've heard that about alcohol but I'm not sold on that after watching our team play last year!
-
This Oklahoma visit could be bad if he wants to be close to home.I would like to think being point on a very talented, hopefuly title contending squad would push him our way. Also they have a soph lead guard named Jordan Woodard that was really good as a frosh.
-
Do we have any choices other than Sunshine Pumpers or Doomsday Preppers? How about Partly Sunny to Partly Cloudy? :scratchhead:
-
I think he was just talking about resemblance. I know i was.He does look a little like him. I do like his rebounding but not ready to compare him to a top 10 all time hoosier. Not yet anyway.I will have to see him play a couple games, maybe 3.
-
Yeah I laughed at that too.Another one from the same time frame was when he would be gnawing on the antacids and he would have a white circle rimming his mouth.Man that dude was wound up tight. Looked like a rabid dog sometimes.
-
If he was a little bigger maybe. He does resemble him a bit. Quick jumper with a nose for the ball.Thats what I remember about Alan. From the film I've seen of Morgan and Holt they are both willing rebounders and that is a mindset more than something taught.I'm really looking forward to seeing them both.

While 1987 might was probably Knights least talented championship squad I would beg to differ on the lot less talent statement. Garrett was a fantastic defensive player and rim protecter in the post.Cody was not. Daryl Thomas was a rugged weakside rebounder at the 4 .Something 2012 lacked. Rickey Calloway was as good a slashing 3 as there was in the game. Keith smart was a super athletic combo. Joe Hillman was a big strong defensive guard. And Alford, well you know. Throw in Steve Eyl who could play 3 positions off the bench along with Sloan , Minor, Meyer and Oliphant. 2012 after Cody Vick and Yogi the athleticsm fell off dramatiaclly.Watford was a good shooter but slow defensivly.Same with Jordy along with being undersized. We had no reliable bench. Playing Yogi and Jordy together made for a midget backcourt. Cuse was big Long and athletic and Jordy was hurt. I guess the point I'm trying to make is side by side I would take the 87 squad overall and I really think 2012 Cuse was better than we were from a athletic standpoint so I respectfully disagree. I agree the zone thing is a problem but Cody flashed to the center just like you should only to pass up shots and try to bull rush his way to the basket.Thats on him.Why that wasn't corrected should be on CTC.
-
Agree 100% I know I get on CTC fior some things but I think he should be proud of that. I wonder how much evaluation into that aspect our fine powerhouse$ just to the south put in to recruiting.?
-
Me too.I was starting to get nauseous while I waited.
-
Yeah but 9'' of it is hair bringing him in at 6'7''. :) Actually I think the doo is pretty cool. And on a side note,Man that kid has some wide shoulders.Ought to be able to put on some muscle mass.
-
Welcome Aboard Mr Morgan!, The longer this press conference went the more nervous I got.Listening to you speak I had already made my mind up that you were a fine young man commitment or not. That being said I like you even more since I saw the Hoosier T shirt. Good luck with this season and can't wait to see you in the Hall.

Best Pure Shooter/Best Scorer In IU BBall History
GloryDays replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Sorry' Still it was a great game.I had to drink myself to sleep afterwards. Was'nt real hard since I was 3/4 there. -
I agree, What really bothers me though is players we have seen play who were offered frosh year in state. It makes no sense to me what so ever to offer that early with most players. Now a Eric Gordon Or a George McGinnes type maybe, but this scatter shot approach to recruiting drives me crazy. Then every yeay wondering who is going to leave because of an oversign. To badmouth kids that have never played a game is just classless.I actually think April might find a role on this team.Seems mobile and has a nice touch and really good hands from the film I've seen.Cant teach 6'11' 'Go Jeremiah! Go Hoosiers!

If You Could Only Pick One New Recruit From Any Class
GloryDays replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Probably right on that.Don't know anything about this staff at Mizzo but Haith was dirty.Maybe some residual? I dont know how all this stuff stays hidden. You would think it would leak through a disgruntled kid or parent but it just goes on and on. I wonder if the NCAA really even cares as long as they are getting theirs.
