I just saw where Kansas had Ol Roy back at Phog for their opening festivities. To a standing ovation no less! Ive always thought Kansas was a shady program with the big kid ..cant remember his name, on the championship squad having fake classes in High school. Nothing ever came of that.Guess who recruited him? These programs are like two peas in a pod.Hope they both go down.

Starting Lineup Predictions
GloryDays replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I l really think RoJo should come off the bench because having him and Yogi together could lead to foul trouble at the point where I think RoJo will have to play a lot of backup minutes. I'll go with Hanner,Troy Stan JBJ Yogi.with Stan RoJo and Z3 all getting about the same minutes.Devin and Hanner with almost equal minutes also. -
6'4" Guard Nick Zeisloft joins Hoosiers

I guess the point I was trying to make was given what Ive seen so far in an even trade I take JBJ ,RoJo, and Z over Hollowell ,Gordan and Etherington all day long.I realize that 2 are freshman and that the other played in a lesser league.Hollowell never showed the fire or work ethic that Ive seen from these guys and Gordan was an average player at best.Etherington was a shooter that couldn't or wouldn't shoot. -

Stan is not a jump shooter. We don't need Stan to be a jump shooter on this team. His strength is in his getting in the lane and mixing things up.Plenty of shooters to kick to. Ive got a pretty good Idea that what JBJ,RoJo and Z bring to the table will be a lot more conductive to success than what the players they replaced gave us.Actually I'll go out on a limb here and say I know they will. Z has a confidence about him that is vital in tight situations..RoJo was rated as a high 4 star coming out and Blackman was a burger boy.Looks like a lot of people think those 2 are OK players. After watching them I have to say I concur. -
Once Oladipo fouled out the handwriting was on the wall. No one could stay in front of Kidd Gilchrist. Before that it was anyones game.We did play them tougher than-anyone else in the tourney so I would agree with Reb that at that point we were the second best in the country.

Regular Season Prediction Thread

Sounds about right. Sure wish we could beat those Louisville Dirty Birds but they'll be tough. -
They ought to be tarred and feathered! Sorry that wasn't very original.

I agree about the 3rd guard spot.Probably wont matter who starts there because I could see any of the 3 especially Stan and RoJo starting with Z3 being the steadying influence when they need calmed down. -
After last year 20-11 sounds great.I feel the Big will be down some and 5th should be obtainable and 3rd not totally impossible. Feeling a bit like a Pumper this morning after watching the scrimmage Sat evening! :yahoo: I think 10th is total BS.

I'm still a little concerned about Hanners hands. He had a wide open reverse dunk and the ball spun out on his way up.Saw lots of that last year.Davis looks more polished and stronger.Holt's going to have to play.

Dunk Contest at Hoosiers Hysteria

Humility's one thing Timidity something completely different. We had too much of that last year. Show fear or indecision on the court you get eaten alive. -
Dunk Contest at Hoosiers Hysteria

Max has a long way to go to really help this team.He looks stronger than he did 6 months ago but that's not saying much .His upper body has a long way to go.Theres still nothing wrong with confidence, something Etherington had none of. -

Hoosier Hysteria---3 Point Contest

I agree with the streaky part. I saw him in the Derby classic last spring and he didn't hit any of those shots. It never hurts to look at mechanics and try and see if there's a glitch that can be taken out.I'm not saying completely change his shot because he is a good shooter but he could be a great shooter.Troys a great jumper should he not try and jump higher? -

Hard to believe he's a successful shooter with such strange mechanics.I totally agree with your assessment. I bet the staff is aware of and will try to tweak it a bit. -
He's an athlete that's for sure.

Kiss was popular when i was a kid but i hated them.I was more of an Alice Cooper guy. Saw Kiss live once but I don't remember an accordion. At least he didn't wreck a motorcycle! -

Hoosier Hysteria---Recruit Guest List
GloryDays replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
You Dog! :ninja: -
I would think it would be for 15 and not this mid-season. I almost get the feeling that he is seen as Yogi's replacement. If yogi graduates he may want to play for pay next year. Then the back court is less crowded and we have a big lead guard.I know the NBA is a stretch but Europe's not.Not advocating but just putting out possibilities.Who really knows whats going on inside the program and what the staff thinks they need?

Not only forward but really high on top of it. I was thinking the same thing.Lots of collisions with defender. -
