Well I'm glad we didn't get Lee. He might have helped us this year but then at the same time we probably don't go after Holt. Rather have Holt hopefully for 4 years than Lee for 1.

I never claimed he was a great coach but he isn't dismal as some of you claim. We have Young guards that still needs to learn to play together and possibly could be a reason why he's giving them the minutes late in a blow out? We are not going to be a team of bigs this year so as much as I would like April to develop and be a contributor, I highly doubt that it's going to happen this year. Plus who are you going to steal minutes from for him to play? Like I said, I'm sure I will see posts about how Crean sucks at this or that even if we win against Louisville and I'm 100% sure that the sky will be falling if we lose.

You have to give Crean credit here. Defense was much improved. To beat a very good team where yogi and jbj were basically non factors is a statement.

Top 20 no but will they be dancing? I'm betting they will. I agree Hanner needs to stop falling for the fake. He was in bad position to begin with which is something he'll have to work on. All I know is that on a bad shooting night where we clearly got out rebounded, we still managed to grit it out and pull out the w. Last year this would've been a double digit loss at home.

Michigan had the same problem we do. No inside presence. They live and die by the jump shot as well. Difference between them and us is that we have a lot more capable 3 pt shooters. I can see us beating them this year.

Actually it is the fact that we won and Crean made good coaching decisions to help us win that game. It's that simple. You can analyze all the negative aspects of a game all you want but the bottom line is that we won against a quality team.

Maybe because Emmit has yet to play a single minute of college ball and it wasn't his time to come in and play today in such a close game. Crean even said it wasn't his game to play today but he would get his minutes. Also, Hanner needs to play better but we would've lost the game if it wasn't for him.

It seems like every year we get lucky with missing out on some of these prospects.

I'm just happy that he looks nothing like our past center projects. He's a bit slow footed but showed nice soft hands and a good shooting touch. He also showed an actual ability to grab a rebound. I think by his junior year we can see a real contributor out there.

I really see this coming down to Syracuse and IU. IF the NCAA comes down on Syracuse then he's ours to lose. Of course things can change within the season.

I gotta say one things for sure this year. Huge upgrade of walk-ons!
