Article on recruits from McCarthy
chitown hoosier replied to WayneFleekHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Ethrington was injured his whole time at IU. Just when he got better he started showing flashes of contributing. He wanted playing time so he left. IMO it was a dumb move on his part. I think he would have evolved into a much better player if he stayed at IU. You can tell Indiana devotes a lot of time into strength and conditioning which deserves a lot of credit. I'm excited for next years recruit, especially after spending a summer with IUs strength and conditioning coach. Deron is going to be a beast as he adds some muscle mass. So is Curtis. -
He mentioned it in a post game presser, think after northwestern. Letting up but shooting a lot still.

Indiana @ Wisconsin Pre-Game Thread; 19:00 EST; ESPN; 1/26/16

Well I'm sure there will still be posts like the schedule and wait until @michigan before believing in this team. Of course that will be then continued onto Iowa and such. -
Probably. And if Indiana wins the next two look for them to drop a spot to 20 next week.

This game is killing Dukie V. If Duke loses than there's no way any voter can justify them being in the top 25 any more.

(2016) PF De'Ron Davis to IU

Problem was there was nothing after them. I like the depth of next years front court better. Both OG and JM are very versatile players. Should be even better next year. -

Wow. TB, DD, OG, JM. Some serious size next year. -

Yup. The margin of victory tomorrow hopefully. -
OR having 2 b1g losses. Yes I was talking about Maryland because uhm MSU already has 4. I wouldn't be surprised if the lose to northwestern the next game either.
-
I was talking about marylands schedule... And if you have seen mich st play recently they are not impressive. It's the Denzel Valentine show and he takes a lot of bad shots.
-
Yeah I guess losing 3 in a row, 2 at home with one of them being Nebraska has no bearing. Or having no impressive wins just like Indiana but already having 2 b1g losses means that they are better than Indiana. Sigh. All Indiana can do is keep winning and prove these so called "experts" wrong.
-
maryland at 9 and mich st at 12? I'm sorry but I just don't see it.

Did he have a problem when kids were booing Indiana at the Notre Dame game or the booing of Crean earlier on in the year? I don't get why this is such a big deal. It's laughable. We should boo his Twitter when he takes away a commits thunder by posting their decision before their announcement.
-
I'm sure they will. But honestly, I haven't given them enough credit. Uthoff is a lottery player. Still needs to eat more but he is smoooooth.
-
Ok. Iowa is good. Really good.

IU finds missing piece with OG Anunoby
chitown hoosier replied to hmhernan's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I'm sorry if I you think I was targeting you. I wasn't. I was just stating that there were people killing Crean over his recruitment of OG. Mainly the fact that he was just a 3 star kid that nobody ever heard of. I'm just happy we have the kid on our team instead of Iowa. It would've sucked to face this kid 4 years in the b1g. -
IU finds missing piece with OG Anunoby

Some were questioning the committ. A 3 star from Missouri. Why not get a kid from Indiana over him. Yada yada yada. But he averaged some crazy stat like 20 pts/10 rebounds in high school. He was also tall, athletic and could shoot. I had high hopes that by sophomore year he could really start contributing. I'm happy that he's doing that his freshman year. Now I'm really excited how he's going to contribute the rest of his IU career. -
Too bad when he faces IU bigs he's going to be a scrub again!
-
This is actually not a bad idea.
-
Oh and it's definitely hard to root for Purdue at any time but Indiana sure could use a W by them against Iowa. Go PUke!
-
Yogis played pretty well against Melo and as Melo goes, Maryland goes. I'm pretty excited for the matchup as I think Indiana will be able to hold its own against them. As for MSU, I still don't think they are that good. We'll see how IU plays against them but it's not a guaranteed L at sparty this year like previous years.
