Oh I highly doubt that. -

There's no way they will get off this lightly with 1 self imposed post season ban. -
Column: IU continues to grow against Michigan
chitown hoosier replied to hmhernan's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Coach got a little cute with defense earlier on. It probably had a lot to do with TB learning as well but there was far too many times where Indiana would switch between defenses. I love how Indiana is playing pretty much man to man now. Last year he didn't have the personnel to do that which forced them to play that dreaded zone. It also helps that OG and JM can defend mutliple positions. I do think the main factor in the improved D is Yogi. Earlier on the year I was really critical of him. He was getting beat left and right and seemed to only care about offense. His improved D has really brought him to a different level these days. -

OG vs Troy - Who Should Start
chitown hoosier replied to JaybobHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I think the starting lineup should be right now Yogi RJ TW OG TB Hartman is better coming off the bench but I understand Crean wants an experienced lineup out there. I just think OG could help Indiana start off better, especially defensively. -
I Think There's Something That Needs to Be Said

I don't think Lyonel Anderson gets the credit he deserves. I know some are turned off with his side line enthusiasm but this guy has really developed the team physically. -
Indiana @ Michigan Post-Game Thread
chitown hoosier replied to MartintheMopMan's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I agree. Unlike previous years, the makeup of this team is just different. Finally there are pieces at every position as well as a solid bench. To have players like OG, JM and MB coming off the bench is just huge. Indiana is never out of a game when they decide to ramp up their defense. Previous years I was less confident when IU would get behind. However, this year I just know that they will claw back into the game despite the deficit. To get punched in the mouth and lead by 21 pts at half is just unheard of. -
Indiana @ Penn State Pregame thread - 2/6 at 20:00 EST on BTN

Handle business at penn st and bring on Iowa. I can't wait to see how this team does against them. Potentially start 11-1 in the b1g which would be huge. -

UK needs to drop out of the polls this week and it would be the icing on the cake. -
Indiana @ Michigan Post-Game Thread

Let's not go there. Michigan is a quality team that was playing good ball until tonight. This was a very good win for the Hoosiers. -
Well chalk up our first quality b1g win! Great game Hoosiers!

OmG!

Valentine is an absolute moron.

Uhm yeah. We got a good one folks. Kid can ball.
-
Omg the zebras are out to make this game close
-
Yeah, when this team is on, they are unstoppable
-
Ahaha. I love it!
-
It's about time. They should've been out of the polls last week.

http://www.iuhoosiers.com/staff.aspx?staff=1 Read through all he has accomplished at IU. His job is more than just basketball, although it's a key piece of the puzzle.
-
http://www.iuhoosiers.com/staff.aspx?staff=1 Yeah, Glass isn't going anywhere unless he decides it's time to leave. So this whole notion of Glass not firing Crean is not going to be his downfall. Sorry.

What's funny is that this kid was in a lot of mixtape videos...of the guy getting blown by others in their mixtape videos. I'll pass. Id rather have a Devonte Green who has been praised about his defensive tenacity.

My point is very simple. There is just no way, no matter how much you or others hope, that Crean will be gone if his team makes the tourney this year. Without a complete collaspe, it looks like they will. You can kick and scream and hold your breath til it's blue but it just won't happen. As for getting rid of Glass, that's not going to happen either. He is in charge of just more than basketball and quite honestly, he is doing a pretty good job at it. I'm done on this topic now. This season isn't close to over and until it is, I personally cannot judge if this season was a success or not.

Sigh. Because if Indiana doesn't get to the dance than there is no chance to compete for the national championship.
-
Yes. Indiana, even with all that, is not the most talented team in the NCAA. Other b1g teams have just as much talent or stars to their name in recruiting. I actually could care less about how many stars are on a player. Time and time again, upper class and senior led teams perform better. Should Indiana dancing in March be the norm? Yes. This season isn't even over with and somehow the future is already set for a collapse? What if Indiana got all the right match ups and went on a final four run? Would this whole fire Crean debate still go on or would it quiet the criticism until Indiana loses another game...
-
I am as long as Indiana makes the tourney this year. If the season collapses then I would not want him as coach next year. But I see no reason to fire him with the pieces Indiana had coming next year as long as there is no crazy collapse.
