Anyone putting Goode on your scorecard I hope you're using a pencil. If I were DDV, I'd put about a 5% probability that Goode's waiver will be approved and I'd be filling my roster on the assumption Goode won't be on it. There's enough scholarships available that if it is approved, he can still have a spot on the team but to recruit expecting Goode to be available would not be smart IMO. I'd also use a pencil on Flory Bidunga. In his initial recruitment Auburn was reported as the clubhouse leader until he picked Kansas at the end. Sounds like Auburn is going hard at him a second time. Final comment. April 3-10 is an NCAA Dead Period. It is not permissible to make in-person recruiting contacts or evaluations on or off the member institution’s campus or to permit official or unofficial visits by prospective student-athletes to the institution’s campus.

Cooper Koch is withdrawing from the transfer portal and returning to Iowa, he announced. The 6’8” freshman forward appeared in 10 games due to injury. Koch averaged 4.6 points, and 2.1 rebounds per game.

Pete Thamel - New Mexico has agreed to a five-year deal to make UC San Diego’s Eric Olen the school’s next head coach. He led the school to the 2025 NCAA tournament in its first year it was eligible. He’s gone 51-17 the last two years and won the Big West this year at 18-2.

Hoosiers (14-11) (5-4) host USC (14-10) (4-5) for a 3-game weekend series. Friday weather looks favorable but Mama Nature may have other ideas for Saturday and Sunday. 6 IU pitchers gave up a total of 11 hits and 8 BB. 6 of the 11 hits were extra base variety and included 4 HR. USC scored in 7 of the 9 innings. We had 11 hits of our own led by Dickerson with 3 who also had 5 RBI. USC takes the weekend series 2-1. Tuesday evening at 6:00 we host Louisville. Next weekend Michigan State is in Bloomington.
