When you're retired, you don't give a damn what time it is. My personal preference----- -
Why? You think I'm making this up? lol It was among a series of tweets from Rick Bozich sounding like he was listening to a normal weekly update from Cal similar to what Archie does each week.

Also #17 in the USA Today/WBCA Coaches Poll. Loss to O$U cost us a spot. -
Interesting teaser. John Calipari said that if Kentucky does not have its full roster Wednesday night at Missouri if won't be because of COVID.

IU Men's Soccer News and Notes
Class of '66 Old Fart replied to ccgeneral's topic in Other Indiana Hoosiers Athletics
Indiana men's soccer will head into the 2020-21 season ranked as the seventh-best team in the country according to Top Drawer Soccer, the publication announced on Monday. Indiana is among three Big Ten Conference teams ranked in the top-25, joining Maryland (No. 21) and Penn State (No. 23). Michigan sits just outside of the poll in the 'others considered' category. Last season, Indiana secured its 10th Big Ten double, and second in as many seasons, after winning both the regular season and tournament crowns. The Hoosiers landed the fifth seed in the 2019 NCAA Tournament. The seed marked the 15th time in 17 years that IU earned a top-16 seed and 10th time as a top-8 seed during that span. IU reached the NCAA Tournament for the 33rd-straight season in 2019 and for an NCAA-record 44th time in program history. The Hoosiers also hold the NCAA record with 20 College Cup appearances. Consistent with IU Athletics' ongoing efforts to protect the health and safety of students, coaches, staff, spectators and the local community, men's soccer matches will be played without fans indefinitely. IU Athletics' decision is in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and is consistent with what has transpired on all Big Ten campuses. -

Following a week where he went 2-0, including a victory over a No. 5 ranked wrestler from Penn State, sophomore Donnell Washington has been chosen the Big Ten Wrestler of the Week. Washington started his day at the Northwestern Tri Meet with an emphatic victory over No. 5 Carter Starocci of Penn State. Washington got a take down and four-point near fall in the first period and led 10-1 early in the match. He hung on late for a 10-9 decision. Washington followed that up with a key win by fall to help the Hoosiers beat Northwestern, 18-16. Washington pinned Northwestern's Troy Fisher with 18 seconds left in the third period to provide the Hoosiers with six points. Washington, who is now ranked No. 6 in the country at 174 lbs. on FloWrestling, improves to 3-1 on the season with his additional win in the Indiana dual vs. Illinois. Last season Washington redshirted and finished with a record of 22-9, including a sixth-place finish at the Midlands Championships. Dating back to matches from last season, Washington has won seven of his last eight matches. This week the Hoosiers host a quad meet with Nebraska, Michigan State and Rutgers.

Last weekend the head coach for Lighthouse Academy did an excellent impersonation of Bobby Knight throwing a chair onto the court because of what he felt was bad officiating. No idea the basis for these rankings but dropping 7 spots in one week seemed drastic. Clearly, rankings are exceedingly important to everyone and their brother/sister and must be regarded with the utmost scrutiny. .~ -

Galloway definitely sounds doubtful. Armaan's status probably the infamous "game time decision" but even if he plays, will he be able go full bore? -

IUWBB (9-3) (7-2) needs to regroup after the tough loss to O$U and take out some revenge on MSU (9-3) (4-3). We definitely need to regain our 3-point shooting touch. Radio Live Stats ABOUT THE SPARTANS Coming off a 40-point loss at No. 7 Maryland and dropping three of the last four, the Spartans will also look to bounce back on Sunday afternoon. They are led by junior guard Nia Clouden who averages 19.1 points and 4.5 assists per game. Sophomore guard Alyza Winston adds 12.1 points per contest while sophomore guard Julia Ayrault adds 10.0 points per game. They are averaging 79.1 points and shooting 45.8 percent from the floor. NOTES The Hoosiers are coming off a 78-70 loss to Ohio State on Thursday night. Junior guard Grace Berger and sophomore forward Mackenzie Holmes each had double-doubles in the loss. Each pulled down 10 rebounds while Berger tied a career-high 26 points. Holmes also ended Thursday night's game with five blocks, upping her season total to 38 swats on the season. She ranks second in the Big Ten in blocks and blocks per game. She's also coming close to hitting the record books for single season blocks in IU history, needing four more to tie Jill Chapman's 42 blocks in 1999-00 for 11th place. Senior guard Ali Patberg continues to climb her way up IU's all-time assists list. Her 363 career dimes rank eight in program history and needs three more to tie Emma Urzua (1993-95). Indiana comes in at No. 10 in the latest NET rankings, which replaced the previously used RPI system. They are the third highest Big Ten team in the NET rankings this season. IU and MSU have played a highly-competitive series in the last seven games dating back to 2017. Indiana is 4-3 in the last seven meetings. UP NEXT The Hoosiers are next scheduled to face Iowa in Iowa City on Sunday, Feb. 7 at 2 p.m. ET on ESPN2. -

First chance to watch Livingston play and what a great game it was. Akron Buchtel (10-2) defeated previously unbeaten Lutheran East (7-1) 88-82. Livingston passed my eye test but I doubt we're probably much of a player for his services. He finished with 30 pts on 10-13 FG; 3-4 on 3s; 7-11 FT; 15 reb; 5 asst; 2 stls; 6 blks; 5 TO. (2022) - PF Lilly Meister to IUWBB
Class of '66 Old Fart replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Women's Basketball
A tale of two halves as John Marshall was beaten by Mankato West 52 - 32. It was a 28-24 Mankato lead at halftime. John Marshall went scoreless for the first 10 minutes of the second half (18 min. halves) and by that time the score was 42-24 and the game was effectively over. Meister with 17 pts. on 8-15 FG; 1-3 FT; 13 reb; 1 blk. She was extremely active in the first half getting off 12 shots and hitting 7 along with getting 9 rebounds. In the second half, she took only 3 shots and grabbed 4 rebounds. John Marshall is not a particularly good team and in the second half Mankato double teamed Meister and forced JM to take 3-pointers and I'm not sure I've ever seen a team airball so many. When they did try to get the ball inside to Meister they either threw it over her head, at her ankles or to an opposing player. By her body language Meister was clearly frustrated.
