There was a little rise just before the finish line and it almost looked to me like she stumbled just a bit and that's where she lost the lead. Don't know that the outcome would have been any different as the Gopher definitely looked to be the stronger of the two.

(2022) PF Jalen Washington to UNC

Rare opportunity to watch Washington play as Gary West Side thoroughly demolished 21st Century 88 - 39 going on a 21-0 run to open the 3rd Q in the Steel City Showcase. There were technical difficulties so the stream didn't go live until 6:22 remained in the 2nd Q. For the game Washington had 16 pts. From the time the stream became available he was 4-6 on 2s; 2-2 on 3s; 2-2 FT; 8 reb; 3 asst; 1 stl; 3 blks; 2 TO. Announcers repeatedly said he was 6'9" but his wingspan must surely be 7'. https://www.facebook.com/regionsports/videos/1021772921565695/ If you don't want to watch Washington's game at least watch the clip below of what took place in the second game of last night's Steel City Showcase between Bowman Academy and Gary Lighthouse.

(2022) - SF Justin Taylor to Syracuse

Update from Rivals. Also in the article is news he'll at least have a season. Only 7-10 games but at least some kind of season which is better than it sounded a month ago. Indiana: “I talk with coach (Archie) Miller, and also (assistant) coach (Kenya) Hunter, who came over from UConn. I think I could fit well into their program. They have a 3-guard system, so I would definitely get time there. They’re trying to rebuild their program back to where it was and they see me as a central figure in that.” https://basketballrecruiting.n.rivals.com/news/justin-taylor-an-intriguing-wing-with-plenty-of-programs-pursuing?fbclid=IwAR373x2Xvk1iI4m_j4HyK3nWIf9Jqyf-7uQBcUEiX137svYyY-cR0wYBZb4

I went back and looked at his last year's stats. For the '19-20 season (27 games) he averaged 2.0 TO/game but had a number of games with as many as 6 or 7 offset by games with 0-2. This season (16 games) his per game avg. is 2.5. http://gcls.gclsports.com/bkPlayerStats.aspx?player=585695

In a low scoring game, Lawrence North defeated Center Grove 45 - 35. It was a one point game after 3, but Center Grove could score only 4 points in the 4th Q. Gunn with 11 pts. on 4-5 on 2s; 1-4 on 3s; 4 reb; 2 asst; 2 stls; 1 blk; 1 TO. Again in this game, he picked up 2 fouls in the first quarter and spent a considerable amount of the first half on the bench. Early foul trouble has been a recurring problem for him.

Moeller over LaSalle 59 - 38. Duncomb played 27 min. scoring 8 pts. on 3-6 FG; 2-2 FT; 5 reb; 2 asst; 1 blk; 5 TO. Turnovers have been a real issue for him this season. I won't pay to watch his games so no idea just what kind of TOs he's committing. Evan Mahaffey played 30 min. scoring 16 pts. on 8-8 FT; 5 reb; 1 asst. Just 4 games left in Moeller's regular season.

Purdue, Indiana, Illinois Stranger things have happened, but McKneely announcing for any of these three schools would be stunning to say the least. Illinois has put in the most effort of the three and probably has the best shot, but even the Illini feel like a non-factor.

  22. Fresh off giving Maryland its first B1G loss, #14/11 Ohio State (9-1, 5-1) visits SSAH to face our #16/15 Hoosiers (7-3, 5-1). Radio Live Stats ABOUT THE BUCKEYES Ohio State is coming off back-to-back ranked wins over No. 11 Michigan and No. 7 Maryland on its home court. They are paced by sophomore guard Jacy Sheldon's 18.0 points per game while sophomore guard Madison Greene adds 15.0 points per game. They are one of the highest scoring offenses in the Big Ten, averaging 85.3 points per game this season. NOTES Indiana returns home for the first time in over two weeks – last playing at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall on Jan. 10 against Wisconsin. They are coming off a 74-61 win over Northwestern on Sunday. Sophomore forward Mackenzie Holmes led the way with 22 points and 10 rebounds which earned her a spot on the Big Ten Player of the Week honor roll. The Hoosiers come in at No. 9 in the current NET rankings as the highest rated Big Ten team. A win on Thursday would push the Indiana women's basketball program to its 800th program win. In its 47 seasons, IU has amassed a 799-647 record. Sophomore forward Mackenzie Holmes leads the way in scoring for IU this season with 17.9 points per game. She's currently on an eight-game double figure scoring streak and has three double-doubles this season. The Gorham, Maine native also adds 7.0 rebounds per game and leads the team with 2.8 blocks per game, which is second in the Big Ten. Junior guard Grace Berger also continues to excel for the Hoosiers, averaging 15.3 points, 6.2 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game this season. She's scored in double figures in the last seven games of the season. IU continues to be one of the nation's best in protecting the basketball, as it commits just 10.2 turnovers per game. That mark ranks third in the country and second in the Big Ten. Thursday's game against Ohio State was moved up a week on the Indiana schedule with the original game date set for Thursday, Feb. 4. The move helps accommodate for other rescheduling around the league. UP NEXT Indiana remains at home to host Michigan State on Sunday afternoon. Tipoff is set for 4:30 p.m. ET on BTN.
