Hoosiers hang on and get an 8-7 win to open the 3-game series. Kraft started and pitched 4 strong innings and then fell apart in the 5th when Michigan scored 4 to erase what had been a 7-2 IU lead. Decker-Patty, Yarberry & Seebold finished the game allowing just one more Michigan run. We had 12 hits with 5 separate batters getting 2 each. Hanley, Denny and Stadler each with 2 RBI.

It's an NCAA Evaluation Period weekend and the major shoe circuits all have events scheduled. For anyone unfamiliar with what an Evaluation Period is, it means coaching staffs can be in attendance at the event but cannot make any kind of in-person or off-campus contact with the recruit. Coaches are required to sit in specific areas of the venue and even given specific instructions as to what doors to use for entry/exit. After this weekend, we'll have a clearer idea of who the staff is really targeting and if any other Woody offers will be re-offered by DDV. At this time, only '26 Tay Kinney, '26 Anthony Thompson and '27 Jason Gardner have received fresh offers from DDV. And following this weekend, we'll likely see reports of new offers being extended.
