I took a break from raking leaves to come inside and check on the game. Think I'll go back outside and rake some more leaves.

According to the Big Ten availability report, Indiana’s Jakai Newton is questionable for today’s game against Louisville. No other Hoosiers listed on today’s availability report.

UNC leading Villanova by 20 with under 4 minutes left so I'm feelin' pretty confident it's UNC we'll be facing for the Battle 4 Atlantis Championship. Who da thunk after the Harvard and Butler games? Tarheels (4-1) only loss was to UConn 69-58. On the post-game CTM pretty much ruled Syd out for tomorrow which was hardly a surprise. Said they'd have to wait for imaging. Can't expect another 30 point game from Shay but someone will have to help put points on the board. And with Syd out, Jules has got to find a way to stay out of foul trouble. Need more than 12 minutes/game from her. Haven't heard a word about Beaumont and if she's expected back anytime soon or not. Woodson says Gabe Cupps has practiced "a little bit." Jakai Newton is "still slow coming back." Not clear yet whether either player will dress tomorrow for Louisville. Cupps sounds closer.

Last Friday night Maya had her 3rd 30+ point game of the season dropping in 31 against Franklin Central HS. HSE is 5-0 and through 5 games she's averaging 26.0p and 7.7r. She's 50% FG; 50% on 3s (16-32) and 91% FT.

My opinion for what's it worth is that he's not leaving IU. He sees this as the last stop in his coaching career and it would take a major rift between he and the university for him to leave but he's not going to simply be poached. Certainly don't expect a repeat of this year's results next season but I sincerely believe he can make IU football respectable with consistent post-season bowl appearances. And when he does retire he will go down as our greatest football coach ever.

Jared Kelly - Indiana's $11 million assistant salary pool is a MONSTER number. According to a report, Ohio State this season bumped its assistant salary pool to $11.43 million, the highest in the nation. So yeah, there is clear commitment from IU in investing in football.
