    Troy Williams Decision

I have seen several tweets from different individuals that Troy was less than impressive today and he'll need to step it up on Friday.

    Blackmon interview

His comment on being a leader next season was the most interesting to me because I don't think he's ever been a leader. He was a scorer in high school but just scoring points doesn't make him a leader. His court demeanor in high school (and I saw many of his games) and college has never been what I consider as leadership. I don't think it's in his DNA to get in someone's face in the huddle, function as an on-court coach or get into practice time scrapes. I think he's had a 'me first' attitude for a very long time. My personal opinion and I would very much like to have to admit I was badly mistaken come next March.

In addition to having a program in chaos, Little Ricky's got some internal audit problems as well related to some pretty serious overspending - a trick he probably learned from daddy. Apparently some of the Illinois players have been serving as mentors during the off-season: Minnesota center Reggie Lynch was arrested on probable cause of criminal sexual conduct. He's suspended indefinitely, per team release.

    Josh Phegley - Oakland Athletics

Josh Phegley is quite the multi-talented ballplayer. A catcher by trade, today he became a pitcher and faced 2 batters in the 8th inning. He retired both, and threw an 88 mph fastball in the process as the A's were hammered by the Orioles 11 - 3. Phegley was the 5th A's pitcher on the day.
