I remember that game really well. My wife and I sat there and wondered, "did A.J. throw that game"?

Let's go Hoosiers! Scalp the Ilini -
correct. It has been mentioned he was injured / illness a while back. If his health issues aren't being discussed, i'm fine with that. If he wants privacy, he deserves to have it. But, his defense is definitely needed and if his shots aren't landing, his defense is more important. As we well know!

A Letter to Coach Robert M. Knight- From the fans
ALASKA HOOSIER posted a topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Mr. (Coach) Knight, I'm writing you today on behalf of the fans of the Indiana Men's Basketball team. I cannot speak for all of us but hopefully, will speak for the majority. I'm deeply saddened that you did not attend the ceremony last week at Assembly Hall in honor of YOUR 1976 men's College Basketball National Champions. There are many of us that feel this was the time for you to cast away your anger at the University for what has happened since, the majority of the fan base has already forgiven. We understand the frustration you feel/felt during these many years and would like you to know that we still care. We will never forget what has happened to you and the basketball program. However, it is time for you to come home for your team and the many Indiana fans. You, at least can do that for us, who have suffered with you while supporting from afar, all of this time. It is only furthering the damage and will separate you from us, if you will not forgive and let the fans know of it. We are all older now and I do not want your legacy to be of hate and disdain for Indiana. I want you to be remembered as the great coach who forgave and came back to his family, both fans and players. I'm offering you an invitation to visit one game this year and let us know you still care. I'm sure the coaches and University staff have offered. However, this is from us, the thankful and hopeful fans. Respectfully, The I.U. Fans -

IU vs Minnesota Post Game Thread

Defense! I don't care who we played, we are playing better defense than I have seen in years. Rojo, even though his offense is sucking, he is a good defender. OG, good job, TB, good job, Hartman, good job, Z3 is still playing like a spidermonkey. TROY, STILL SUCKS AT DEFENSE! Always gets beat off the dribble or no jelpside. I don't get it. SIR Yogi! -
I agree that TB needs some relief in the games. If you watch him, he is consistently battling underneath for positioning and it will wear a big frosh out! He is battling more than i have seen a big man battle at IU since....eh......Allen Henderson, maybe? He is a winner but needs some sub rest every now and then. In the OSU game he was so tired that he couldn't elevate towards the end. I was so confused that CTC didn't get him out of there to get him a rest.

I too, wrote him a letter down at TT and he answered. I don't have his email address so i figured i could do it here and maybe, just maybe, he would see it since alot of Btown Banners new topics are shown in google searches, Bleacher report headings and elsewhere. I am trying to receive closure and move on but I needed to try at my little bitty meaningless level. I want to move on, but i have to at least try, as a fan of his and the teams. I don't want to see him as a crotchety old fart who doesn't care and can't forgive. Call me selfish but I want him to go down for the good things he has done for MY INDIANA UNIVERSITY. A.J. Guyton has tried, the players have tried, the administration has tried. Why can't I, after hearing all the negativity that will reflect on MY INDIANA UNIVERSITY. I am a "nobody" to him, but at least i want my voice heard by him. To do nothing would lead to, nothing. I have tried. If nothing becomes of it, then I will move on. This is only an attempt by one person to reach out, as a voice for some of us. I wish people would move on too, but only after they at least try. -
