I see Anthony Davis hit a lot of midrange jumpers. He seems to be a decent player. So does Lamarcus Aldridge. Some guy named Dirk has a midrange game. Chris Paul, Kobe, KG, Gasol bros, Zach Randolph, Bosh. We could go on for a while.

What about the kids who go to school thinking they are one and dones and then realize they aren't ready for the NBA so decide to come back for a sophomore year? Wouldn't a kid be out of luck he plays for this Vegas team and underperforms and NBA teams don't want him? There is no option to come back for another year so what does he do? Go to Europe?

Since he is a preferred walk on it probably means Crean or someone on staff went to him and said "Hey we want you on our team but we can't give you a scholarship. So come to Indiana pay your own way and try out for the team and we will give you a spot." It's like telling him he made the team as a walk on before he even tries out for the team.

Yeah but those guys went to BYU. I wonder how a school like Duke or Indiana or someone who hasn't had to do what BYU does would handle that situation. Could push schools away from offering him if they know he won't be playing for two years.

It would be interesting. I'm curious to see how the school he chooses handles that. Excluding BYU and Utah I'm not sure what other schools have experienced that. Has there ever been a players as good as him serve a mission. Jabari chose not to go and I can't think of another lds player as good as them who chose to go.

The draft eligibility rules say that the player has to turn 19 in the calendar year of the draft and that they must be one year removed from high school. So as long as he meets those requirements I think he is good

Jurkin was a three star on ESPN and rated as the 26th best center in that class. No where near a high four star.
