Peter Jurkin to East Tennessee State

ETSU actually moved to the Southern Conference... this will be their first season in SoCon

Peter Jurkin to East Tennessee State

Spent 1 year at Tenn State, then transferred to Lee University (a DII school in TN). He averaged 1.5 pts, 2.3 reb in 8.8 min per game last season as a senior. He was by far the tallest player on the team at 7'0" ... next tallest was 6'6"!

Bawa transferred to Tennessee State, not East Tenn St

OT. James back to the Cavs...

You sure know a lot about the NBA for someone who claims to not watch it.

Kris Smith no longer on team

He's still on the roster on the IU site... did it say why he left?

RT @Prehmmr247: Oregon isn't out of the woods yet either. JaQuan Lyle hasn't gotten into school. Currently at 8 scholarship players

    Curt Miller Resigning from IUWBB

Hoping for the best... coaches don't just resign out of the blue without taking another job. Must be something serious, so I seriously wish him the best moving forward. Tough to hear

(2014) QB Danny Cameron to IU

Didn't take long to fill Tre's scholarship spot!

    2014-2015 Basketball Schedule

IUBB added Grand Canyon University to the non-conference schedule. They will face off in Bloomington on Dec 13. GCU is coached by former Phoenix Suns guard Dan Majerle. He and Crean both went to CMU, so that probably played a role in getting them together. http://www.azcentral.com/story/sports/college/gcu/2014/07/01/gcu-basketball/11911987/

    Bring him on down!

(2015) PG Jalen Brunson to Villanova

Yes he did http://statsheet.com/mcb/players/player/northern-illinois/chris-coleman   EDIT: He went to South Florida first and then transferred to NIU. Had been thought to be a Wisconsin-lock out of high school but chose USF.

(2015) PG Jalen Brunson to Villanova

We talked about Jalen's dad, Rick, being a solid candidate for the open assistant position at IU (or anywhere). Temple got the memo and hired Rick Brunson, a former Owl player himself, and the Crystal Ball for Jalen swung wildly in there favor.   Sorry for the update on a guy IU has no chance at... I went to Stevenson HS and it's a big deal that we have such a high-profile recruit. It literally never happens.

    2014/15 roster

I hate to spend too much time talking about walk-ons, but it seems like IU is getting a couple of good ones. Ritchie had D1 offers (Air Force & Toledo) but chose to walk-on at IU instead. Burton is coming to Bloomington with 2 years of college experience under his belt (Bellarmine University). He shot 40% from 3-pt there, averaging 4.1 pts in 13.1 min per game.

Another nice detail in there... The teams first practice for Montreal was today!

Nice to hear Crean speak openly and honestly about all of this. You hear so much "coach speak" from these guys it makes it that much better to hear a coach finally get real.

    Tracy Smith to ASU

Tracy Smith won B1G titles for IU, got an amazing new stadium built, and had a whole bunch of players drafted into the majors, including multiple first rounders. To say the legacy he is leaving behind at IU surpasses that of his predecessors would be an understatement.    Be happy that he stayed as long as he did and realize that this is a business and he just got an enormous promotion. Money is not the only deciding factor when someone takes a new job, but you've got to think ASU had to cut a nice check to get him away from Bloomington.   This will never happen to IU basketball (or men's soccer), but all other programs are susceptible to more prestigious programs hiring coaches away. It's not stealing, it's business. You better believe that if Kevin Wilson strings together a few bowl games and a bigger program comes calling, he's gone in a heartbeat. The same way IU will pretty much have their pick of the litter whenever Tom Crean's job is open.

    Tracy Smith to ASU

Arizona State... 3rd most CWS final appearances (10), 3rd most CWS titles (5 "banners"), 3rd most CWS wins (61), 20 Pac-12 titles, impressive list of alumni (Bonds, Reggie Jackson, Pedroia, Ethier, more).    They are Indiana basketball lol. The have 5 titles but the last one was in the 80s. They have had a lot of success since then, including a runner-up finish in 1998, but haven't broken through yet. Maybe Tracy Smith has what it takes to bring them back to the promised land.    Judging by the numbers, only Texas and USC are better jobs. Throw in LSU and Arizona and you have the top 5 most successful baseball programs in NCAA history.

    Tracy Smith to ASU

This is how college athletics works... you have some success and move up the ladder. IU fans are spoiled because IUBB is at the top of the ladder.

    Tracy Smith to ASU

This is like Indiana taking Tom Crean from Marquette. Marquette basketball = Indiana baseball, but Indiana basketball = Arizona State baseball.    It sucks for IU baseball, but c'mon... can't fault the man for advancing his career.
  20.   We can definitely agree on that... the Cavs are going to screw this up again. Hopefully the NBA never gifts them another #1 pick. They've had their chances.
  21.   Wiggins isn't a stud on defense either. I'm sure he can chase down shots like LeBron but I don't see much past that.
  22.   That's who I would take
  23. This draft is a lot different than the last 3x times that Cleveland has had the top pick. LeBron and Kyrie were no-brainers. No other option at 1 overall in either draft, even in 2003 with guys like Wade, Bosh and Melo on the board. Then last year, with a very weak draft and no clear-cut #1 overall picks they really shot themselves in the foot.    There, again, isn't a consensus top draft pick this season but the difference is that the Cavs have some really good players to choose from. Wiggins, Parker and Embiid will be great players (as long as they stay healthy) and it seems like they can't really make the wrong choice.    But since it's the Cavs, I won't rule anything out. Wouldn't even be shocked to see them pick Doug McDermott or something crazy.    EDIT: Obviously I would be shocked by that... it was meant as sarcasm
  24. He will definitely get summer league invites. Nice to see he is getting a look from the "home town" team. I'm sure he will get looks from the Florida teams, as well. Maybe he will get a shot to play with Vic again in Orlando?!
