I see what you're saying but there have also been plenty of one and dones that have been absolutely huge for schools. Most recently Jahlil Okafor. I understand he had a good supporting cast but so would we. And I also understand Thon is raw, but in college, raw can succeed.

It seems like every time a recruit starts to fade with interest in our school, everyone comes out of the woodwork saying they don't want him anymore. Thon is a beast and a game changing recruit, don't fool yourself.

Maybe instead of a "Fire Tom Crean" thread with 96 pages, we could have something more positive with a "Hire Brad Stevens" thread with a thousand pages. He'd maybe hear about it, and come here. Or continue in this thread, either way.

Chicken or the egg though? I feel bad for these kids. Bad coaching leading to not caring or not caring and it's impossible to coach? Combination of both but I think it starts with the coaching. Would you? I wouldn't (if I were him). I love IU and that doesn't make any sense. He has a destination job, and is an up and comer in the highest coaching level possible. My heart would say yes but everyone around me (family, friends, agent) would probably be furious. Let's say it doesn't workout in Boston. He'd still be able to come back to whatever job he wants. Probably the IU job will be open again because I'm sure our next hire will be Kelvin Sampson or something.

I know I don't post a ton, but is it just me, or does it seem like there are a bunch of new members with no avatars that are supporting Tom Crean and then not replying ever again? That you Tom?

MOMENTUM. The De'Ron commitment might be bigger than we all thought. If we land Brown, we are very solid for next year. And we might be headed toward pulling in someone else huge.

Kegler seems to appreciate it, I don't see what the big problem is. It allows fans to reach out to potential players for their team. Some players may not want that, but some do. As long as it's kept appropriate, I think it can be fun for some fans.
