    Yogi Ferrell

I actually don't. We really have had only one notable transfer in his time at IU. If you guys are still hanging onto a time where kids wait their turn, get with the program. I wish it were different too. But roster turnover happens at every school. IU doesn't have some insane transfer rate.

What do you guys mean by "the way it's run?" You are referring to the culture of competition?

    Yogi Ferrell

It's a made up story. That's why it makes no sense. He's either going to the NBA, or coming back to IU. Why would he go to Louisville or UCLA? There's no basis for it. It would only hurt his NBA prospects.

0% chance of a transfer. It's so laughable

You're right. I wouldn't want to be a lottery pick either.

When? Have never seen this reported yet that's what McIntosh told the media.

Not say crean is bad coach just questioning some of his choice

I have a big problem with some of the combinations that are put on the floor; as others have said there should never be a time when Troy/Blackmon/Yogi are all resting. I don't particularly have an issue with how often we sub. Our guys need their legs, especially this year with no margin for error. It isn't automated subbing but there is a philosophy going into each game. Doesn't mean they stick to it by the letter. Coaching basketball is so much different than other sports because it's all on the fly, it's quick thinking. Whether a player is "hot" shouldn't matter if he is giving up those points at the other end. People point that out, but they don't see why they made the sub. It's an assumption on the part of the viewer. The idea that Crean looks at an index card to tell him how to coach the game is so asinine and typical from our resident grandpa. Other coaches don't use notes? Last I checked his boy Stevens uses 25 page analytic reports to help their staff make "coaching adjustments." I think this is just an example of everyone following the team so closely. The subbing does not have the impact many think it does. You don't ride a guy because he is making shots. Everyone on our team can make shots... Just play the game.

Bardo is awful because he can't go one game without mentioning how good the Big Ten was back in his day. And he's clearly never prepared. Gets so many things wrong. How he still has a job at BTN is kind of amazing.

    Thon Maker

No idea, but it's crazy how much Rabjohns has hyped IU recruiting/basketball since he got on the beat. Sets people up for disappointment. I think it's clear Thon isn't going to IU.

I sometimes think Yogi's physical strength is held against him. He gets fouled a lot. You kind of have to foul him to keep him from blowing by you.

    The remedy for what?

The holes in this roster are baffling

Laughable. There isn't a chance in hell April could average 4 rebounds let alone 8. He'd get tired after about 3 trips up the floor.

    Upset with recruiting?

How is keeping Crean settling for mediocrity? I didn't say this is the be all end all for why we shouldn't make a change. Just pointing out that consequence. It's much bigger than recruiting.

Did anyone else read this article? Kind of surprised Dakich would contribute to this topic. Some good points from these folks, but don't read if you aren't a Crean fan. http://bit.ly/1vkH5Tc

What is it that has some optimistic about April?

Has there been any recruiting news? I might've missed it. Just seems like everyone is in a holding pattern especially re: Thomas Bryant. It will not be a good look if IU doesn't sign a legitimate player or two at that position whether it's a '15/grad transfer. I hadn't though about that possibility; could be an attractive opening. Imo it might help Hanner as much as it would help the perimeter players.

(2016) C Joey Brunk to Butler

Southport's coach was a manager for IU during Dane's career, I believe. It seems like IU is stronger with Scruggs than Brunk.

Let me add: it's impossible to compare anything under Crean nor any of the prior 2 coaches to those 29 years.

Totally agree. Didn't mean any harm by that comment! Fascinates me. IU can be that powerhouse and giant. The need for instant gratification is the frustrating part. We all care so much and are immersed in it. It isn't that Crean is designing an unstable program. We could have survived losing those guys to the NBA. It happens. But when it's coupled with losing the entire foundation for this regime (2009 class)... That was not a good recipe. But what should Crean have done to rectify that? In 2009 should he have had the foresight to redshirt Watford and Hulls? A lot went into the terrible season last year. It was a cluster you know what. Indiana should absolutely expect to compete for the B1G and national title on a yearly basis. That's always going to be the standard. But that doesn't make it justified or right or fair. The bar should be set high. IU should aim high; but that doesn't mean you can't find success below that bar. Just my opinion.

Lol I get your point but do you want IU to get a commit right now? It'd be great but most guys aren't making any decisions during the middle of the season... Let it play out...
