What Butler coach has gone on to achieve great success beyond Butler, though? Matta, a one year coach at Butler? That's about it. It's not a good argument to make, but it's worth mentioning as it is certainly possible that Stevens or any established coach could struggle at IU. Look at Crean.

I really believe Crean is more than good enough for IU; fact is it's a bottom line deal and that is too bad because a great man and fine coach will be **** on for taking on a challenge. An enormous challenge. IU is in a much better place because of Tom Crean. But he can't survive this. He created a monster. We got a taste and thought we were back.

I put a lot on the players. But Crean has gone a little far with trying to save guys, make them men. Too religious and forgiving. We are talented but soft. Even the B1G title team was soft.

Indiana recruited too many players with no toughness. Deep down, Yogi and Blackmon are private school guys. Victor had soul... He won't get fired this year. But I can't defend this crap any longer. Man the eff up. I just hope no one plucks Gregg Marshall this year.
