drewheck replied to Hoosiers High Life's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
some times he's a momentum killer I understand where you're coming from sometimes you don't have to be Mr nice guy as a coach if a players got a hot hand you let him play til he says take me out -
I heard it was a pitino decision on the game and a school decision to dismiss him

I agree with you on football but freshmen have to big of an impact on today's game in basketball that a redshirt year for most would be detrimental to their basketball skills unless you're on a national championship team and going against the best in the country in practice every day
-
My whole problem is why would a kid want to come to a school on an athletic scholarship and then get to the school and have to go a whole season without playing it just doesn't make any sense would there be a freshman team or would they show a jv game on TV
-
the only positive I would see from freshman ineligibility would be the competition would be more evenly matched
-
their basketball team would be non existent
-
why would anyone not want to get paid to play ball. Let's face it cash is king now and these kids are all about the money
-
Freshman ineligibility would kill recruiting and make kids go overseas and play ball

NCAA Considering Freshman Ineligibility
drewheck replied to LIHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
They need to make the eligibility like college baseball either you go pro out of high school or if you play in college you have to be there for two years -
I meant for us
-
A step back if he goes he has put in too much work here to lad howard and other rbs and it would be a huge blow to our offense
-
I saw that too I wonder what it was all about
-
he would be listed as a walk on

drewheck replied to MartintheMopMan's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Our lack of a big man lost this game for us plus the god awful officiating didn't help and no jbj was big
