I think the call was that he didn't give him room to come down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Miller Kopp to Indiana (Northwestern Transfer)

With Rob I think it was all confidence. It looked like he was aiming and hoping it would go in when he was at the line. Very tentative. Hopefully he gets some confidence going into this season Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Kopp's a 3, isn't he? And yeah, I totally forgot about Bates. Too many interesting pieces for next year! I guess I'm considering the 1, 2, and 3 spots guards for next year, even though technically the 3 would be SF. I agree that Brooks coming in would seemingly create issues further down the roster in terms of expectations for playing time. That's a bit concerning, but that's for the coaches to figure out. I like Galloway too. I'm not rooting for Brooks to transfer in and Galloway to leave. And I definitely wouldn't like it if that was how IU operates going forward. But I'm not as bothered by it if Woodson were to do this because it's his first season. He didn't recruit Galloway. I appreciate that Galloway loves IU and wants to be here, but if Woodson doesn't think he's a fit, that's not a good situation for anybody. And with the transfer rule, he could still play right away.

Possibly. But if I was ranking IU's top 13 scholarship players for next year, I would probably have Galloway ranked either 12 or 13 along with Leal. Of the guards, he's behind XJ, Stewart, Lander, Kopp, and Rob. It's nice that he is a good passer and plays hard, but he brings very little to the offense and won't until he becomes at least an average shooter. I'll be a bit surprised if he plays regularly this year. If he has been told that and wants to go somewhere he can get minutes, that would make sense. If he sees all these things and still wants to stay at IU but gets cut, then I would feel a bit bad about that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The Syracuse loss stings, but UNC was unbeatable that night. We knew they could bully us inside but hoped we could overcome it with superior outside shooting. The strategy was to force outside shots, and then they had their best shooting game of the year. I was disappointed because that IU team was so fun, but nothing they could do in that game. If Galloway is playing significant minutes and hasn't drastically improved his shot, that would be a very bad sign for IU. The fact that he started for a bad IU team does not mean he is the caliber of a B10 starter. IU's guard depth should be significantly better in 2021-22. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Unless Galloway can shoot 35% from 3, I can't see him getting much time. At this point I'd think he's behind Rob, Lander, XJ, Stewart, and Bates Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I don't know if I missed something earlier, but what makes you bring up Jabari Smith? I haven't seen anything about him moving on from Auburn. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm disappointed, but I root for Virginia a little bit too because my brother went there, so I'll still follow him Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Virginia doesn't have an exciting offense, but they've got a number of guards/wings in the NBA. I'm guessing they're pitching him on developing into a Brogdon type player.

Not really. I don't look at a rolled ankle as a sign of somebody being injury prone. He never really gave himself adequate time to recover and thus played the whole season compromised. I don't know if that helped contribute to his foot injury, but neither of those are too concerning to me.

I don't think the transfer rankings accurately reflect Franklin because there were only a few games last year of Armaan playing at full strength. What he flashed in those games is tremendous upside though. He was not a volume shooter, so it was not a case of putting up stats on a bad team. He was the only guy who could reliably score from deep, mid-range, and in the lane. He was the only guy you could give the ball to and expect him to make a play either for himself or for others. I'm excited about Xavier Johnson, but I expect Franklin to be better than him.
-
I think Franklin would have been closer to 14-15 PPG if he hadn't been hurt most of the season. Also, considering the huge jump from year 1 to year 2, there's reason to believe he can make another leap. I agree that there are other guys we can get who will help, but I think losing Franklin would be a significant blow Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Losing our best 3 point shooter would not be ideal though. XJ is a great pickup, but he's not much help there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

There may be other players just as good or slightly better, but I think it would be a lot more fun to keep rooting for Armaan. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

He needs to at least make people respect him to 18 feet. I think he can do that. Right now guys play off him. If they have to play up on him out there he can take them off the dribble to get good looks at the rim Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That's assuming TJD comes back. Even with that, there are going to be times when we're going to want to have a bigger lineup. And Race is our best post defensive player by far. He offers the ability to switch that Woodson likes. It would be a big loss.
-
Losing Race would be really tough IMO. Even if TJD stays, we're going to be low on front court depth. That could change with transfers, but we need guys there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Is there anything in particular that leads you to think Franklin is leaving? Transferring in conference would be a blow Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I hope Armaan is back. He has so much potential. He's also my 7 year old's favorite player, so he would be pretty disappointed. Armaan, do you want to make a kid sad?!?! [emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Mike Woodson and His Coaching Staff

I may be misremembering, but it seems like most of the injuries were rolled ankles, concussions, Race getting an elbow to the face, etc. Those don't have anything to do with strength and conditioning. I don't remember many muscle pulls but I could be wrong. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
