I don't think it's as big as it once was, Tom and Matt just don't seem to be the intense rivals that RMK and GK seemed to be. For me personally it doesn't get any bigger. I've been accused of being dropped on my head as a baby,since my father,stepfather, and two brothers are purdouche bags,having graduated from there. So tonight is a must unless I want to hear how IU is their ***** at every family gathering for the next year.

As I read through this thread I can't help but to ask,why some of you folks even come to an IU fan board and post. This like so many other threads always devolves into an anti Crean fodder. I get it, some of you really don't like him or want him and maybe it doesn't appear that way to everyone, but I think some of you actually want to see us fail,and miss the tournament just so you can say I told you so and run Crean out of Bloomington.

We are out performing what most experts predicted for this team, barring the collapse the last two games. We are most likely headed back to the dance, mid to upper big 10 finish, and doing it without a legitimate 5 and freshmen playing major minutes. I think too many people bought the fool's gold after the Maryland game, and thought we were a lot better than we are. Now the same people have jumped back off the bandwagon and think the sky is falling. Neither of which is the case. I have been an IU fan for 40+ years, and have seen good, bad, and ugly. I'm loyal to a fault sometimes, but all the negativity shown to our current coach is counterproductive and SOME TIMES completely unwarranted. I guess what I'm trying to say is anytime you get to thinking oh, woe is me, just take yourself back 5 or 6 years and remember how painful that was. IU is the BEST team in college basketball regardless of their record. From some very highs to some awful lows, LONG LIVE THE CRIMSON AND CREAM !!!

The coach would've went to see this kid play, and ran the other way. I watched him play 5-7 times a year when he was at evansville bosse. Not a team player, horrible attitude, very selfish. ... but I guess that just me being holier than thou.

Agree, the fact that we can have a generally civil discussion only goes to the quality of the posters. If we all agreed there wouldn't be much discussion at all.

2020 is when the contract ends, however the buyout drops in july, and scales down each year.

I guess I'm more of a glass half full rather than empty kinda person. I can't refutiate the arguments that most of you are posting, however, I remain optimistic rather than pessimistic. Plus it's going to be 5 years before there is a coaching change, if then. Until that time I'm 100% behind coach Crean.

Everyone heals differently, I had a bad stroke almost 7 years ago, and I'm still not fully recovered, when I was in rehab, I saw people that made progress so muck faster than me, and some much slower.3 things he definitely has going for him,1. his age,2. His overall fitness, and 3. The amazing medical staff affiliated with IU. Full recovery is prayed for and expected. *Disclaimer : am I a medical expert, No. But I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Obviously Crean's fault, always is when we loose.
