lol i took that class myself! was it at the Union bowling alley?

UNC is an ESPN darling too. Im pretty sure the ESPN's president has some strong UNC ties, might even be a UNC grad. mehhhhh. This story has been around for almost 2 years now right? Finally getting some traction. I know that UNC has hired numerous public affair agencies and firms to conduct damage control (whitewashing and diversions).

would you still support him if you knew he showed up drunk on campus during his first few weekends after being hired what about mouthing off to the cops that he's untouchable because he's the IU football coach?
-
reminds me a lot of Josh Smith :(

my junior year i went to the lil wayne concert.. i still dont know why the hell he came out performing in skylar diggin's Notre Dame jersey ... eventually some bro in the crowd gave him a retro IU jacket.

I havent been using snapchat as much lately, but I think they recently changed the snapchat stories to show what is "trending" kinda like twitter, instead of whoever is actually paying for the coverage. I could be totally wrong though. All this app talk is making me feel old -.-

I'm pretty sure they are buttbuddies. I think a few pre-seasons ago they were taking jabs at one another, in jest.

Looking for serious discussion and feedback on posters' thoughts of video gaming as a sport. I am an avid video gamer as well as a sports fan and recently I've noticed a lot of stuff in the realm of "eSports" that would suggest video gaming is a viable form of competition that is here to stay. Whether it's a sport is up for discussion/debate. FWIW, the US government recently granted Visas to several video gamers in the past year, effectively recognizing them as an "athlete". http://www.npr.org/blogs/alltechconsidered/2013/12/15/250793493/u-s-recognizes-a-south-korean-starcraft-player-as-an-athlete Additionally, the same weekend of the British Open, ESPN3/Watchespn broadcasted a video game "Dota 2" tournament which boasted a $10 Million dollar prize pool (over 8 million more than Rory won, i think the 1st place team took home $5 M) http://ftw.usatoday.com/2014/07/espn-dota-2-international-esports Lastly, "The League of Legends season three world championship was watched by more people than the NBA Finals, World Series and BCS national championship." http://ftw.usatoday.com/2014/07/espn-dota-2-international-esports

+1 I think this is the main criteria that's lacking in categorizing gaming as a sport. The lack of physical activity/exertion. Who knows maybe somewhere down the road "virtual reality" gaming that the wii and xbox kinect pioneered could result in more physical activity. I still dont ever seeing it being as intense or require that much of physical effort because it wouldn't sell.

homophobic AND misogynistic?!

sorry, any male that has a tanning bed in his house can not be taking seriously

Going after, imo, the best player in the class. http://kentuckysportsradio.com/main/calipari-made-it-to-see-jaylen-brown-play/

He is absolutely socially awkward just like his brother-in-laws. That's why a lot of times their coaching family is generally regarded as group of major douches (the Harbaugh brothers and CTC), in particular, when the cameras are off. I believe they aren't intentionally a-holes, they are just misunderstood and awkward, resulting in them looking like d-bags. I've personally witnessed this phenomenon numerous times w/ CTC because I was an aftercare supervisor at St. Charles where Crean and Dakich's kids went.

but can he dunk? :D

From the article i just linked in my previous post: --- Eric Harris said his son benefited from not being a high-profile prospect. “He's a humble kind of guy,” Harris said. “We talk about that a lot. He'll call me up after he scores 30 points and say, ‘How did I do, Dad?’ That's just the way he is. He's not going to get a big head or be boastful about anything he's done.” ---

http://www.courier-journal.com/story/sports/recruiting/2014/05/07/wvu-transfer-eron-harris-hears-kentucky-louisville/8816813/ Here's a helpful article guys. Seems like he is favoring "coaching fit" over location, contrary to what was previously reported. Have a great day everyone!

(2015) C Stephen Zimmerman to UNLV
Townie replied to JSHoosier's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
From what I've gathered he's heavily favoring Arizona right now. 2nd would be UNLV. Then comes the rest of his top 8. Just my opinion from following his recruitment, no inside info or any special sources xD -
It's 2008, a look into the Crystal Ball
Townie replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Oh, great analogy. Now.. when is the next board meeting? we gotta operate in the best interest of our shareholders and CTC has served his purpose. -
Should we stop recruiting five star centers?
Townie replied to Banksyrules's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I know it's cool to hate on Cal and all... But Cousins is absolutely doing work in the NBA and he improved drastically during his one year at UK (decision making and conditioning). He also reined in Anthony Davis and stopped him from trying to play like a guard every play. Oh just to clarify, it's probably more Cal's assistants coaching up the bigs, but it's still his staff right? -
You're*

I wouldn't say ZERO, but they are definitely limited. Jarrod Polson is a "homegrown" KY kid and actually got minutes. He was like their Errek Suhr (sp?)
-
Um... we did/do the same thing at IU lol. "F 'em up, F 'em up. GO BIG RED". I think we stopped doing that chant because of that.

Leaving for the NBA....the facts and the myths...
Townie replied to Bk4life's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Just this year... a great example would be Marcus Smart. Here's a related article I found on deadspin: http://deadspin.com/marcus-smart-did-the-right-thing-and-look-where-it-go-1546498463 Granted it's deadspin... they still raise some nice arguments refuting that players actually develop quicker once they reach the NBA. -
Hollowell & Etherington transferring..
Townie replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
it's critical that Crean acquires a solid big guy... or two, for IU to have a success year. Lee would be a great start. Let's also pray that HMP has a miraculous off season and comes back as a clone of Louisville's Montrezl Harrell. He doesn't need to know how to handle the rock or anything, just learn a few post moves and dunk everything that comes his way. -
Hollowell & Etherington transferring..
Townie replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
hahah good point. I never thought about it that way as I never actually interacted with Dan Dakich himself, but I have heard he's a pretty big douche. He pretty much tossed aside his marriage and bragged about never being happier in his life in some article or something.
