That's not what you think it is; it's just an optical illusion. I was just about to take my candy stripes back to the pants store.

Just imagine a Yogi/TB pick and roll with a JBJ/Rojo/Zeisloft kick option and a Troy/Hanner trailer... For the love of RMK that would be beautiful.

Dear Freddy- I get that nightmares are kind of your thing, but this one has gone on too long. Much like the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, seven installments has destroyed the credibility of what used to be a classic, commendable product. Please find a new director and reboot or we'll be forced to recast you. Banner Up, Guy who ran way too far with a bad joke -
Slightly OT, but does anyone have any data (defensive efficiency type #s I guess) that shows how much guards have improved year to year under CTC and if we can expect our guards to make a leap forward? I contend that Bryant could help simply by making other teams think twice, but I understand our guards have to be defensively competent first.

Pro Tip: Lecturing someone with as many posts on this board as Diet Cokes drank by CTC this year (answer: ~3000) about board etiquette is poor form. -
Couldn't agree more. HMP looks great when he has space to create on O/D and a player in a more engaged role (IE Bryant) could definitely allow HMP to roam without blowing assignments. From the limited film, that seems to be Bryant's forte, though it's always tough to tell when watching HS/AAU mix tapes. Either way, those two (along with Troy) could provide some outstanding highlights (Disclaimer: Yes, I know that, according to this board, CTC won't use him right and that I'm dreaming)

Don't we always claim to have a very high collective (basketball) IQ? Let's show it. -

High expectations for basketball; low expectations for education. I was mostly just saying that if we're going to sound off, let's ensure we sound like the educated basketball fans we are. -

If I was the AD of a highly rated University I would be more beholden to alumni than fans. That said, I'd assume alums are capable of writing a coherent email. -

It's the same reason I immediately walk away from most KY fans when they try and make a point. Grammar saves lives people! -
This is going to be like that time the US ran some Red Alert drills and the Soviets thought we were attacking; It was all a joke until someone took it seriously. That's why we're living in a post apocalyptic waste land. <---When keeping it real goes wrong. But really, some truth is going to accidentally be predicted and someone will claim to be a savant.

I still contend that Crean's use of Bryant is irrelevant so long as he goes somewhere inside that arched thing. Bryant's presence alone should force defenses to soften their hold on the perimeter. If CTC can't find a way for one of the deepest 3-Pt shooting teams in the country (with a perimeter player to draw some focus and a PG capable of driving) to get consistent looks I will kneel before the throne of Alford Bailey.

I'm not pleased to see Max go, he seems like someone who will be solid down the road, but his reason for going definitely softens the blow. Mike and Mike (with Jay Williams) were talking about Notre Dames emphasis on 4-year players and the willingness of players to ride the pine to glory.

In terms of raw appeal, what are the best names in coaching (past or present, college or pro, basketball or otherwise)? Literally, the best names. I vote Thad Matta. It just sounds like an Old One here to crush your soul.

If we fire Crean and can't get one of our top choices immediately, can we hire this guy? At the very least we'd get to spend a year laughing and something other than our performance...
