[quote name="KingPG21" post="159933" timestamp="1427590710"]The dude said in the thread he was only going to reply to people who were regulars on here...... what exactly was he expecting when he created a thread talking about JBJ leaving[/quote If you're going to post a rumor that involves a major player I imagine you'd expect some level of questioning and a lot of intrigue from the board.

Arizona. To anyone saying Wisconsin you do know that Bo is going to retire within the next couple of years right?
-
To me it is the student. I dropped a few classes in my days and I can tell you the decision always came down to my own schedule and what I was able to handle that semester. If you drop every class where you don't like your professor for whatever reason then you will probably never graduate.

Top 10 ways you know that you're about to get "Creaned"
TheStillman replied to TrueHoosier62's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
You have fans calling for you to be kicked off the team or that you don't deserve to be on roster all year then when you decide to transfer the fans use it as a point against the coach who they criticized for keeping you on roster all year. -
Top 10 ways you know that you're about to get "Creaned"
TheStillman replied to TrueHoosier62's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
You underachieve in first 2 seasons and realize you'd be better suited at a mid-major. Oh wait. You guys are making shit up and not talking in reality? -
Cal is hoarding bigs no doubt. I know if I am Thon or Bryant and I look at what Dakari Johnson and Marcus Lee have had to deal with sitting on bench and delaying their NBA careers due to lack of exposure I am thinking hard if that is what I really want. As you said it is all about getting to that 2nd contract as an NBA player. Part of that process is getting to the league as quick as possible. Also, if you think Cal's player development is the reason he can get all these McDonald's All American you are being ignorant to Cal's entire slimey career. Thon's game is perfect for Crean's system because he will get on the break and run which Noah was not willing to do. Similar to Zeller Thon will be able to score fast break points at record setting clips if he comes to IU.
-
Yet in 2013 Vonleh was ranked 8th and Dakari Johnson was ranked 9th by Rivals coming out of high school. One of those two played for Crean at IU and was drafted in the lottery. The other played for Cal at UK and is projected as a 2nd rounder this year. I'll let you tell me which one. To get back on topic If Thon decides to come to IU he will likely be a top 5 pick. I think with his game he would thrive under Crean's uptempo system. Edit: Development in college of course is important but it is more about development once you're in the league. Most of the best bigs in the NBA developed while in the league and not in college. Some (Chandler, Dwight) didn't even play in college. It is a huge misconception that guys don't develop in the league. They do and they develop more than they ever do in college.
-
I was referring to your first post where you state all of our stars are late 2nd rounders above. Also a players second contract in the NBA has little to nothing to do with where he went to College.
-
Most big men spend some time in the D league especially when they're as young as Noah is. It takes time to get up to speed as a big man in the NBA and you're going against guys 10-15 years older than you. Look at Zeller. He had his struggles adjusting to the league and now is beginning to thrive. Nothing you say here supports your point that if Thon comes to IU he will be a 2nd rounder which is what your original post said.

We have placed 3 guys in the lotto in past 2 drafts. Thon will also be a lotto pick no matter where he goes.

Tom Crean to Alabama Rumor Thread
TheStillman replied to birdy_19's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
If we're really keeping this baseball analogy going and actually being real without revising history Crean was a double when he was hired. After sitting on second base for a couple years he got to third base from 2011-13 but could not make it home. At this point if he is fired I would argue he got picked off while taking too big a lead at home. -
Tom Crean to Alabama Rumor Thread

Thinking Crean is the "right guy" or a "good coach" is different than saying you wouldn't trade him for Donovan. We could hire Archie Miller this year and people should still be down to trade for Donovan at any time. -

Tom Crean to Alabama Rumor Thread
TheStillman replied to birdy_19's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
This article is a new level of stupid. Not saying the rumor isn't true or anything but the writer takes it 10-15 steps further just to get clicks. Just really bad reporting. -
Tom Crean to Alabama Rumor Thread
TheStillman replied to birdy_19's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I can understand the sentiment of wanting to find an up and coming coach but they're crazy if they think they're going to pull in a coach with as much on his resume as Crean outside of taking the risk on a guy like Howland. They won't get a more accomplished coach than him. -
Tom Crean to Alabama Rumor Thread

Haha yeah if we were in a bowl every year with a BCS bowl every 4 years I'd be ecstatic. -
I agree with his position on this to a point. I never want the Hoosiers to be wearing the zubaz sleeved jersey Adidas had 2 years ago. And I hate the look of the all red including numbers that Adidas unveiled that same year and are available online. I like those Kansas whites bc they are creative and different while maintaining the clean, classy look you expect with Indiana Hoosier uniforms.

yes I was referring more to the white ones than the grey. Just an example that Adidas can come up with an interesting design. My issue with the BTT uniforms is that they were too similar to our current design.

Potential fallout from coaching change
TheStillman replied to HoosiersLoveBanners's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
He is a good coach. Not bashing him. This is his first job at a blue blood yes but he spent years at Iowa and at New Mexico, which is another good program. If he was an elite coach he would've gone to the final 4 once in his 20 years. As it stands he has gone to the sweet 16 twice in that time period. If Crean is gone I'd be disappointed to go with him simply because he has a worse resume than Crean. -

He's been coaching awhile at big time programs. If he had a chance to be elite, we'd know by now. -
2010 vs 2011 recruiting classes - Which killed us more?
TheStillman replied to Magnanimous's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
It's 2012 and it's not close. 2010 and 2011 have little to do with this team -

2015 Big Ten Tournament Game Thread
TheStillman replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
That would be hilarious if we got in and PU did not. I think Boiler fans would lose it. I would like to see PU play Kentucky in the tournament. An interesting matchup that I think PU would end up losing. But I mainly want Purdue and Kentucky to play because IU fans would for the most part be rooting against Kentucky and nothing would get under Purdue fan's skin than IU rooting for them because they're playing our bigger rival.
