Interesting Q&A with Coach Wilson
TheStillman replied to ThompsonHoosier's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
Goal #1 is going to a bowl this season no doubt but I really hope this team can build some hype and get some national attention heading into the OSU game. If we're 4-0 heading into that game at home we can grab some headlines. -
Report: IU vs UK series may return by next season
TheStillman replied to bleedhoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I would guess if it is at a campus site in the first year it'll be at UK since the last game played was at AH. I would further guess if it happens it'll be: Year 1: Lucas Oil Year 2: Rupp Year 3: AH -
As a fan of an AL team there are few things more annoying or boring than when the O's are playing in an NL park, they have 2 outs with none or one man on base and the opposing team walks the 7th and 8th batter in order to face the pitcher to end the inning.

Do people really think Yogi told JBJ he was leaving and JBJ immediately thought "hmm guess I better switch my Twitter bio to PG."
-
Everyone needs to relax. Bryant will be in candy stripes next year and any speculation otherwise is just people trying to get others riled up.

(2015) JUCO SG Mychal Mulder to UK
TheStillman replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Either way a poster stating they saw something then when questioned on the validity immediately deleting the thread doesn't really lend much credence to the claim. I certainly wouldn't say there was any sort of leak as that implies the texts are out there for anyone to see. -

Saying the texts were leaked is a bit of a stretch. A poster said he heard from a friend that JBJ texted something about leaving. -
OFFICIAL: Ferrell returns for Senior Season

Cardale Jones disagrees. That being said I don't think this looks good. -
YOGI--You Stayed! Now Lead Us To Glory!
TheStillman replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
There's probably no one who is a top 5 pick but there are more guys who will make the NBA -
He's a "project" in some sense I guess but he's also projected to be a lottery pick in 2016

It's not really a Crean thing. How many guys redshirt in college basketball at all these days?

YOGI--You Stayed! Now Lead Us To Glory!
TheStillman replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I think you're way over projecting how people are speaking about him. I think the excitement over him staying is totally fair considering he was first team All-B1G last year. If he comes back he will be a top contender for B1G player of the year and can be an All-American. He makes our team go and is the PG we need in order for the offense to keep rolling like it did at times last year. He's not Isaiah but if he leads us to a final 4 he's easily a top 5 PG in program history. -

Agreed to be great we need Yogi to come back and be an All-American -

Great PGs lead teams to championships. If Yogi wants to get drafted in the 1st round he should come back and be a leader on this team all the way to the final 4 -
Don't think he walks on water but if Yogi stays and Thon makes it on campus we should be final 4 or bust. That is the hype. Thon will be one of numerous guys who can lead us to the final 4. Thon doesn't need to walk on water.

Troy Williams returning to IU!!!!!!
TheStillman replied to HoosierSadaseci's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Time to take off the question mark. -
I don't think Stans situation this year is the same as Emmitt's next year. Stan as a player needs to have the ball in his hand for his offensive game to work. In a diminished role as he had this year he wasn't going to get the touches needed for an impact. Emmitt on the other hand is a player who can fill in as needed down low. He can play 10 mins not take up any plays on offense and be opportunistic because he positions himself on the court really well. He is the exact type of role player this program needs.

This is the Orioles year. Make it back to back AL East Championships
-
Duh. Just stating why fans hate Wisconsin. It has a lot more to do with them beating us every year than their style of play.
-
The Wisconsin hatred has to do with them perennially destroying us in football and beating us pretty much every year in basketball except 2014 and 2007.

Troy Williams returning to IU!!!!!!

My guess is because he's the head coach at indiana university -
Alright! Go Hoosiers!

Nobody does $2 Tuesday like Ken Nunn.

Look at other coaches around the country. They all have buyouts at the top programs. And with those buyouts there are two sides, one to protect the school from a coach leaving as you state above AND one to protect the coach from a school firing him right away. Alford has both sides of that buyout and it is a significant amount that UCLA owes him if he is fired. Usually the buyout to protect the coach is some sort of formula based on pay remaining on the contract. I would be shocked (no pun intended) if there is not a similar provision in Wichitas contract with Marshall.
-
If I had to guess it'll be structured similar to Creans. Buyouts like that are par for the course these days. Look at Alfords at UCLA.
