    TOM CREAN FIRED

Exactly. Says nothing about a players character to want to choose your situation after a coaching change versus waiting to see who is brought on and if they're even interested in having you around. Why would players do it immediately if Crean were to be fired tomorrow? Because they'd be eligible beginning of next season. Why wait until April, play under an interim coach until then, wait for new hire, get told you're not needed then have to sit for all of next season when you can get the process started now.

    TOM CREAN FIRED

Your question is who would we be worried about leaving. Id be worried about everyone leaving and I could see a lot doing it sooner than later if they're coach gets fired.

Every player on roster. Fire Crean tomorrow why wouldn't they consider transferring before end of semester

Former Hoosiers Weigh In on IU's Issues

Pretty much all of the former players who wrote their thoughts in this thread learned what wearing that uniform meant under the same guy.

    TOM CREAN FIRED

Firing Crean tomorrow would mean essentially that we have no head coach until April and an interim until then. All 2015 recruits would be lost, likely all current players transferring and we'd have no face of the program to recruit 2016-17 guys. It would seem to me that going down this road puts a lot of risk on the program versus giving Crean the year and lining up the right coach next April. A year long interim situation is really really tough to recover from. Also anyone who thinks that Brad Stevens wants to come back and deal with college players is really out of touch.

Tom Crean Radio Show - 11/3/14 Live Updates

Yes and he announced without a question on it the suspensions of Troy and Stan at the beginning of the show.  He was in no way saying he didn't know about the suspensions.

Tom Crean Radio Show - 11/3/14 Live Updates

He said earlier in the show that the Athletic Department released the failed drug tests report tonight on purpose

Also unsure how your sexual orientation makes you any less fit to be a womens basketball coach
  9. I mean even if no other information comes out I am sure the next several days will be dark for CTC given this situation. A player of his is in the hospital after being hit by another player. There's no way those days wouldn't be dark.
  10. It may just be weird wording but found unconscious? Was he abandoned? Maybe I am just reading too much into it given that Emmitt was clearly cited by the cops
  11. No one is babysitting but personal development is certainly important. Would hate for a freshman to lose that over one mistake.
  12. And a kid is more likely to realize these consequences with influences around him to teach, like a coach. Emmitt and Hanner will be much better off with these influences around them then being thrown off the team
  13. Way to demean student-athletes by saying the world doesn't need them and their majors you don't view as worthy.
  14. If you kick a kid off the team and he loses his scholarship you're effectively kicking him out of school. Yes he can still enroll at IU and pay his way but let's be realistic about what would actually happen. You make that decision as a coach and you're taking away the IU education. As a coach you want to help these kids not kick them to the curb.
  15. Yes he did, off the team, lose a scholarship means out of school more than likely
  16. Kicking a kid out of school and taking away his entire future over one mistake is an absurd penalty. To say that should be on the table for an alcohol related incident is way overboard
  17. If you're putting this on Crean not disciplining harshly enough in the past incidents it has to be noted that Emmitt joined the team less than 2 months ago. He may not have even known that Hanner got a DUI and Stan/Yogi in trouble let alone how Crean disciplined them.
  18. Hanner was suspended FYI
  19. I could see something like this being the case. From the quote in the press release there is a supportive tone towards Emmitt who I'm sure feels worse about the incident than anyone.
  20. Seems like a complete freak accident. Not trying to discount the severity of this but .025 is not drunk and any one of us over 21 would not have been cited for DUI if we blew that number

6'4" Guard Nick Zeisloft joins Hoosiers

Who are the three 6' guards?  We only have one on roster.  Starting a backcourt of 6', 6'4", 6'4" is not small at the wing positions.  It is safe to say this team will run a lot just like from 2011-2013

Taking the train to Baltimore tomorrow for game 2!  First game I ever attended was with my dad Orioles-Royals in Camden Yards.  My dad acquired two great seats tomorrow from a client!   Let's Go O's!

Mike Davis returns to Assembly Hall

Davis made some comments when he reached the tourney last year that he was not ready to be coach at Indiana and feels that his career would have been much different if he had the chance to start his head coaching career at Southern and learn on the job outside the bright lights of a big time program.   I hope people don't boo the guy.  He was put into a situation that was nearly impossible to succeed in and ended up leading the program to its high point over the past two decades.
