Absolutely. Assembly Hall would go crazy and with his wit, it would be very entertaining! -
Your Pick For Emcee For Hoosier Hysteria
323SGrant replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Tough for me to narrow it down Reb. So many great former IU folks. Can you imagine if Knight came back and MC'ed! I wonder if he'll ever "bury the hatchet" with IU. Probably not. LOL! -

I'd go with Sage Steele, VO and A.J. Moye. -

IU @ Bowling Green Post-Game Thread
323SGrant replied to HoosierReb01's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
Didn't Western KY beat this team by 28 points last week when BGSU had their starting QB? I knew the defense wouldn't hold BGSU for the final 2:04 or the entire game for that matter. Knorr appears to be just as bad as Mallory. No wonder the stadium is rarely full in Bloomington. Being in the East division, it looks like another season without a bowl game. CKW should have had them in a bowl game last year. -
Good to have him on board!

Good. It seems like Juwan understands the big difference in interest in Mens' Bball between IU and Vandy.
-
And no Seth Litrell.

Most Underrated IU BBall Player All Time
323SGrant replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
We were leaving a funeral service at the auditorium a few years ago and a small kid was just learning to walk and fell on the sidewalk and Wayne Radford picked him up before we could blink. Very nice guy! -
Most Costly IU Injuries of All Time
323SGrant replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I've heard announcers talk about how good Glen Grunwald was before his injury. That was before my time, but Hendu going down was a big one I remember. With him, Cheaney and crew had a good chance to win it all. I remember Cheaney giving Pat Graham the trophy for a tournament they won when Pat was hurt. Pat was also a very good player. -
Big Ten Freshman/6th Man Of Year Prediction

Absolutely. Additionally, I don't recall a BIG newcomer of the year award for transfers, but I may be mistaken. -
Big Ten Freshman/6th Man Of Year Prediction
323SGrant replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
JBJ and Stan for 6th man. -
Yes it is, but probably to a greater extent when Coleman leaves, unless they can find another stud RB to replace him. I concur that he should get a greater percentage of the carries against stronger competition.
-
Coleman and the offensive line were outstanding for the running game. Significant talent reduction at RB after Coleman. He's a game changer. If he goes pro early, running game probably won't be quite the same next year. Most likely RB by committee. Would have been nice to hit the open receiver in the end zone. I expect the passing game to be better next week. The defense played well.

Starting Lineup Predictions

Yogi JBJ Stan the Man Troy Hanner Zeisloft (sixth man), RJ, Devin and Holt to hopefully get extensive minutes. Start and finish. -
Hoosier Hysteria---3 Point Contest
323SGrant replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
JBJ for the men and Tyra Buss for the Women. BTW, I know you only asked for the men's winner, but I had to get in a plug for Tyra! -
Hoosier Hysteria---Dunk Contest
323SGrant replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I'll go with Hanner with his two basketball dunk to clinch with Troy very close! -
I've been looking forward (no pun intended) to a good add to the frontcourt and I'm optimistic that Holt can help. I like to temper my expectations somewhat for most Freshman unless you have a Cheaney, Zeller, Isaiah or Fab Five, etc., type Freshmen, however, I am hopeful and I'm looking forward to seeing the team play this season, including E. Holt.

Would have been nice to have seen a healthy Coverdale playing. I believe he had some strong leadership skills. -

Yep. I guess I'm a little tired of that BTN commercial with Branden Dawson dunking and screaming at an Assembly Hall game. LOL! -

Mike Davis returns to Assembly Hall
323SGrant replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I spent some time at one of his practices and he was a nice guy. The 2002 NCAA run was great. If Coverdale wasn't hurt with that ankle, which was black, I believe IU beats Maryland. However, you have to win at IU (Men's Basketball) to keep your job, no matter who you are. -
Top "Realistic" Recruit Commits for 15

Always good to have an "impact" player, i.e. McDonald's AA type, sprinkled in with each class to increase IU's chances of competing at the highest level.
