Absolutely and good point about their defense. They were really playing well on both sides of the ball.

Hoosier 7 ft Man O' Mystery Sweepstakes

Absolutely Reb. I'm anxious to see what he can do. As RMK used to say, "you don't have to play poorly just because you're a Freshman". -

Holt is supposed to be better than April according to recruiting folks. I think Holt moves better, but April is much taller. April seems to react slowly defensively from what I saw from last nights game with tiny guards easily getting their shots, including layups, over him, but April's shot seemed to be solid and it was just one game. -
Good showing by IU tonight, albeit against a weak team. It will be interesting to see how they play away from Assembly Hall.

Went to one of his practices. Real nice guy. That 2002 run to the Championship game was great. That team had good backcourt and frontcourt talent (recruited by RMK). We don't see that balance much at IU these days, sans CZ's two years. A healthy Coverdale would have made a difference in that game. I'd clap for Mike Davis when introduced.

Potential coaching change suggestions

I like Bruce Pearl for the National Championship he brought to USI, but unfortunately I don't trust him. Sean Miller is a big time recruiter and I saw his X team beat IU soundly a few years ago. After that loss I believe IU improved to 17-1 and later in the season the "wheels fell off" when Gordon was injured and Sampsongate began. -
With Devin being young and in great shape, I'd have to believe that has helped him recuperate, although he has a long way to go. A cracked skull has got to be very serious. It's good to hear that he is progressing well. After colliding with a car/SUV, he's fortunate to be alive.

That was well done by A.J. Saw him a few years back and told him I went to IU as well and we had a good conversation. Nice guy. I wish him well. Thanks for sharing C.C.

Why do I have the feeling that this may have been one of our last opportunities to beat PSU. NCAA, IIRC, has lifted sanctions and Franklin is recruiting well.
-
I remember when A.J. first came to IU. He didn't have a lot accolades, but he really burst on the scene quickly in Bloomington. He had a nice jumpshot and could take it to the hole. Very smooth player and excellent IU representative. Back then we seemed to have a pipeline to Peoria.

Yogi Ferrell Discusses Indiana's recent events

I hope these guys get it together and learn from their mistakes. I don't know O.G. and Morgan personally, but they seem to be high character guys. IMHO CTC is an average coach on the court, but I don't completely blame him for these transgressions. Everybody makes mistakes. The players should accept the consequences/punishment (whatever that might be) and move forward. -
I like 8 or 16. I'm a Big Ten person (well, really IU only), but I believe the SEC has many of the best teams and a lot of them will not get in the top 4 playoff.

It will be interesting to see what happens. I was really hoping for a better season this year.

Really hope DD will be OK and we find out more facts about this situation soon. -
What would you do if we won a Sixth Banner?
323SGrant replied to Banksyrules's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I'd donate more money to IU and tell my UNC friends that the only reason they have nearly as many Mens' B-ball championships as IU (we would have six in this scenario to their 5) is because of their fake classes. LOL! -
In many of the High School All Star games, most players rarely pass the ball. One aspect of Pinson's game in the couple of All Star games that I saw, was that he seemed to always look to pass to Blackmon for a nice open jump shot. It was nice to see unselfishness from him.

Sounds good to me!
-
May be wishful thinking on my part, but if he came to IU and all the key players returned next year, that team should top 15 at worst. If I put my crimson colored glasses on, top 10.

Hoosier Hysteria---Recruit Guest List
323SGrant replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
That's a bummer. -
Prefacing my thoughts from these highlights only, his quickness and speed with the ball remind me of Calloway. It's been a while since I've seen Calloway at IU, but Cujo seems to also have a good jumpshot and good leaping ability and is ambidextrous around the rim. Glad he's coming to HH.

Too bad this information wasn't revealed last year. Maybe we could have had Malachi Richardson. He seemed to feel very comfortable in Bloomington on his IU official. Hopefully it will help with TB.

Dickie Vitale will come to the defense of Ol' Roy!

Great news!

Good reminder.
