Sampson is better from an X and O perspective.
-
That is the problem. IU should never be in a situation where they are projected to finish 10th place in the conference and not make the NCAA tournament!
-
IMHO defensively is were IU can really improve. Izzo should have gone home with a loss
-
Ouch!

Did not record the IU/PU game. Did CTC have 5 shooters on the floor for the final play? Why not have Hartman at the 5 on the 3point arc to bring Hammons out away from the basket then someone else could've driven to the basket like Rafael Davis did for Purdue? This may have been previously discussed.
-
UK has a plethora of big men. IU... not so much!
-
Those two point blank shots that Raphael Davis hit at the end were killers. I thought Hanner could have blocked the first one and the second one was way too easy as Davis just drove easily to the basket for a layup!
-
I didn't see the entire game, but I didn't see IU go to a zone defense (maybe they did). If Purdue's strength are their big guys down low why not zone them especially when Octeus fouled out and Scott replaced him. Leave Scott open like they leave Troy open and take your chances with Scott taking an outside shot. Additionally, why not have Scott's man double the post. I'm pretty sure Scott is not a good 3-point shooter.

Where do you personally rank the IU-PU rivalry?
323SGrant replied to Magnanimous's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
1. UK - Winning tradition nationally (although somewhat tarnished) I do believe, however, that Tubby was clean. 2. PU - Distant 2nd. They've only won Big Ten championships. To me they are irrelevant, but I watched them when Weatherford, Ford and Mount played for them. I love CZ's tweet stating that he is 4-0 against PU! 3. NC - I really liked Dean Smith as a person and how he treated everyone fairly, but I don't care for cheating Roy Williams and the NCAA does nothing to them! -
Absolutely. Minny must teach and practice that. A few years ago at Assembly Hall, I remember a Minny offensive player pushed off with his off arm against CWat and hit a big shot at the end of the game.
-
The off arm push off from Hollins was so blatant. The refs should be looking for that. If you look at the Minny Star Ledger picture over on another site, the picture there shows just how bad it was. Should have been an offensive foul called on Hollins!
-
The PU game is big!! I didn't realize they are ahead of IU in the Big10 standings until tonight.
-
If UK goes undefeated while winning the NCAA Championship this year, I will be sick!
-
That's a bummer. He was an excellent player.
-
Sounds about right to me. I'm not sure if he was recruited by RMK.
-
Dean Smith seemed like a class guy that believed in treating everyone as equals. That said, didn't Rick Fox from Warsaw play for him? I

Excellent news! -
Ha! I prefer "gone" also. Just didn't want to jinx us! VBG!

He's probably DeAngelo Russell's replacement as Russell might go to the NBA after his Freshman year.

OT: Did Calbert Cheaney Party a lot while in the NBA?

Seemed like a cool guy when I talked to him. He was very cordial. Didn't appear to be the party type. -
(2016) SG Rawle Alkins to Arizona
323SGrant replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
I haven't seen Rawles live, just highlight tapes. He appears to be a very good player. I saw EG in high school and when he was a Sr. in high school, some scouting services had him ranked as the best SG in the country! -
Wasn't a bar and I believe it's no longer there, but we used to have great IU basketball discussions at the old Crosstown Pharmacy on 10th between Teter and Eigenmann.

Prayers to the Howard family.

Running backs take a ton of punishment from many guys that are quite a bit heavier/bigger. I would leave and take whatever money I could get. I enjoyed my time at IU, but I was not an exceptional football player.
