Interesting stuff here. To me CTC did not have many of these problems (that's an assumption because I'm not an insider like pap) with the core group of CZ, VO and CWAT, yet looked clueless against a Cuse zone that he had seen many times at Marquette correct? The kids should certainly be held accountable also. However, as an adult, especially one that is highly paid for this job, I would hope CTC could do better. As mentioned Calipari sure handles those egos at UK well. I've been disappointed in CTC's body of work for his 8 yr. tenure at IU, not just this year, but I really appreciate the insider info. from Pap. and I hope that CTC could turn this around with a trip to the Final Four, but I'd be shocked if that happened. I sure hate to lose that good 2017 talent in IN to other schools!

That's a fair point. Maybe there should be an upgrade there also. MI and PSU are only going to get better and MSU and O$U aren't going anywhere. To finally beat some of those teams, we have to improve the defense.

Now that's the reasonable response I was expecting. The fact that he's only been on the job two years. I understand that point even if I disagree. Statistical rankings can be deceiving. Wake doesn't compete in the BIG East Division. I suspect, his defensive rank would not be as high with that Wake team if they played in the BIG East. (Oops, that response was for RBB)The unfortunate reality is IU does play in this division. In many cases, you get what you pay for. With that said, I would like to see an upgrade at DC, but it would come with a price. When you've seen bad IU football defenses for years, it gets tiresome. Just glad they made it to a Bowl Game this year!

Bottom line is if you like the way the defense performs, that's your prerogative. I don't and believe that a "defensive" coordinator should be held accountable.

With a field of IU, KU, SJ, UCLA, UNLV,Vanderbilt, WF and Chaminade, IU should have a good chance of winning this event if all of the IU players come back along with Bryant. Not sure which McDAA's KU is bringing in this Fall or how good UCLA will be, or the how strong the other teams will be, but hopefully IU can come out on top in Maui this year. Your thoughts?
